I was nodding through pretty much this whole list. Was also about to suggest Cabin in the Woods for those who do okay with gore and scares if it’s well-leavened with excellent humor.

I’m also in this boat and I thoroughly enjoyed “The Frighteners” back in the day. Not sure how well it’s aged now, though.

As one of the posters answered me already, a den is the smallest building block of scouts, for lack of a better phrase. It’s the small local group of less than ten kids, led by local leaders, often someone’s parent(s).

Sounds perfectly reasonable, actually. Still not seeing the problem.

Thanks for the rundown, although I will admit I had a visceral “Oh hell no” twitch at the phrase “safe space where boys can be boys.”

Genuinely curious, what protections?

So wait, accepting girls but dens are still single gender?

To add to your point, the number of companies that offer adequate paternal leave (or any at all) is still very small. Some men definitely do want to and would take time off to help with childcare if they could.

Residents don’t make much, you’re right about that. Added to that, it’s usually the first paycheck they’ve received in years, given that med school doesn’t pay students. Childcare can get expensive and at least in my area, demand outstrips the actual supply.

97 percent said there was inadequate institutional support in the form of childcare (or none)

That exchange between Hilarie and Shanice gives me life even as it makes me want to cry.

I’m wondering if her response is precisely because people are making it about her.

What the hell is a “gem elixir”?

Just write “Made with love” on the package somewhere that isn’t on the ingredient list.

That’s the first thing I noticed Not the footwear, but the pure-white jeans that scream “I have no intention of doing any work or going anywhere near anything dirty.”

I love her so much. If I were 1/10 as talented, I’d call it good, but she just takes it to the next level.

Right? SHE’S the one I feel sorry for. Every time this jerk’s face shows up in the news, count on the fact that 67 journalists are calling her three seconds later for “more quotes”. I have no doubt she’d love for it to be over, this situation that he exacerbated by going on the lam. It would be a whole lot more “over”

Even now, it’s all about you, isn’t it, you jerk?

Welcome to the Fox News business model. If it gets repeated enough by a “respected enough” source, then...yes. Not to mention his core supporters who believe anything he says. I mean, they’ve supported him in everything this far, why stop now, apparently.

That I would completely believe. The man is an overgrown child and extremely good at petulance and lashing out when his fee fees get hurt.
