Oh my god I’m having flashbacks now. I had a pair of these in black fake leather I wore to every dress up and semi-dress up occasion and I completely forgot all about them - maybe in self-defense.

If the library didn’t have Seuss books, I could see your point. But I’m all but positive they’re already on this. Elementary school doesn’t serve kindergarteners, and most kids aren’t reading Seuss in fifth grade. Not to mention, “the more books the better” sounds good, sure, but would you have wanted a school library…

To be honest, I think this is much worse. Those are inadvertently funny (“is our children learning?”) but this comes off as malicious and rather horrific.

Kudos to the librarian for amplifying an issue that needs amplifying. The damage her husband’s regime administration is doing and will continue to do to education wouldn’t be fixed with a thousand books.

I grew up watching this show. It was a large part of my life and had an influence on not only my schedule and TV watching habits but on how I live my life still - question, explore, stay curious, yes there’s hope for humanity somewhere in there, there are ways to get along with others if you just look for a way.
