I’d venture to say that Rubens’ impact was much more violent-looking than either Roland’s or Ayrton’s - yet had an infinitely better outcome.  I’m still shocked that Rubens wasn’t killed that day.

Boeing doesn’t manufacture the cockpit transparencies, PPG does.  Transparencies are a wear item like everything else on the plane.
