I had some friends on the Chicago version. They were playing trivia in a bar and a guy approached them saying they were shooting a show for local Chicago TV where they send just normal people to review popular restaurants in the city and asked if they’d be interested. Obviously they said yes, so the guy told them to

I’ve lived in states that require them and states that don’t and I honestly believe the roads are safer in states that have them. I’ve seen car parts fall/blow off, I’ve seen a van with no front bumper and the cooling components dragging on the concrete, a lot of mufflers dragging on the ground, and soooo many

Agreed. It’s so subtle from certain angles that it’s actually kind of hard to notice its not stock.

You may not want to know how Gran Torino ends then.

I’ve heard the rumor for a while now that this current version of the Impala will be the last and once it has ran its course, Chevrolet won’t offer a full-size sedan anymore.

I don’t remember the exact year because it’s been probably 10 years but I know it was a late 60s/early 70s Mercedes 280SE convertible. Looked exactly like this one . I was really surprised how quiet and smooth it was for a car that age.

They may be safe for them to eat, but if the diarrhea cannon that went off on the back of our couch when I was kid is any indication, don’t give your dogs strawberries.

Usually just mounted at some arbitrary location on the plastic bumper cover and not actually attached to any other part of the vehicle.

It’s a more widely known one, but the steering column not being centered to the driver on full-size GM trucks and suvs in the late 2000s. I had a 07 Yukon for a while and never noticed it, even after I read about it. But it’s glaringly obvious in my dad’s 2013 Escalade.

After seeing that thing wreck and pull hard to the left, maybe not the best place to do that. What if it snapped right and slammed into the People Mover support? Won’t anyone think of the People Mover?

Sounds like The Antlers. They wear their “worst fans in college basketball” award with pride.

Sure, but the problem is Chevy and Cadillac are not strong global brands. GM doesn’t really have any strong global brands, hence the reason even though I have friends and family who work for the company, I still can’t name what every brand in their portfolio actually sells.

I swear I’ve seen it somewhere that GM still offers the Suburban as a Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) model. It’s not officially listed but they’ll build it. And I know for a fact they offer the Suburban HD to fleet customers.

And then when someone lightly rear ends you just enough to damage your tailgate, it’ll only cost three grand for a new one. These things have turned into such a money maker, an old neighbor had the tailgate stolen off of his brand new F-250 while the truck sat in his driveway. Oh and he’s also a cop and his cruiser

There was just something about this car. I liked the 575 better, and then loved the Superamerica with it’s targa looking top, but I’ll always remember the 550 as one those cars from my youth that caused me to really fall in love with cars.

This is absolutely true. I’ve been in their new(ish) powertrain facility in Pontiac and wowzas the amount of time and energy (and money) they spend developing their engines is actually really, really impressive.

And yet up until recently, the GM plant outside St. Louis where they build Colorados and Canyons was running three shifts and even running on the weekends. As boring and monotonous as factory jobs appear, there are still people willing to do them.

I’m right there with you. I’d rather see a Corvette used like this than just sitting and rotting somewhere.

While not my story first hand, my senior year of high school, my parents went to Cozumel for a week. After one day in Mexico, it became apparent a hurricane was about to make landfall so the entire town was evacuated. The ended up spending the night in the Cozumel airport/bar & grill, made it onto a flight the next

I had both of them, I actually had an entire city of Micro Machine play sets that filled a 4x8 sheet of plywood but we moved when I was 9 years old and I could never recreate it in our new house so the city was never rebuilt. Still the greatest tragedy of my young life.
