Unfortunately my engineer friend at GM moved on to another job but the last thing he tipped me off to was GM is/was working on an ELEVEN SPEED gear box for the full-size trucks and SUVs. It’s been a few months though so I have no idea if anything is going to come of it.

I know some guys working on the noise for one of the big 3. They’ve been working on it for A YEAR and still are screwing with it. I don’t think they mind because it’s been a pretty lucrative pay day for them in between their usual sound engineering work.

I only came here for this. Thank you for doing your part.

My first car was a 94 Blazer with that 4.3L V6. It was a hand me down from my dad so when I finally got rid of it, it had 180K and the friends we sold it to drove it from STL to OKC and back that first weekend -in mid July. Said it ran like a champ. That 4.3 was absolutely solid.

“Normal teenage stupidity”? Where did you grow up that it was normal teenager stuff to break into a business and then destroy the extremely expensive property you stole from the business? This isn’t like stealing a case of beer from Wal Mart.

That campaign is what happens when clients get the genius idea to take a campaign meant to launch a single model - the “we know you want a truck” campaign for Colorado - and demand the agency make it work for the entire brand. Obviously after about six months, they’d ran out of shit to say and beaten the idea into the

No to mention the fact with the Ford, they’re something absurd to replace. I think the last time my dad’s shop had to replace one on an F-250, it was in the $2K ballpark. And because they’re so expensive, they’re commonly stolen now too.

I’m a native Missourian turned Detroiter. Always nice to see other people know the real KC is in Missouri.

CNN’s correspondent on the scene there said it last night during their live feed.

I don’t think I’ve really enjoyed watching one since probably the 3rd version. Even the Hoonicorn I got bored with once I got over how cool the car was.

Last I heard from a friend at GM, the small cross over is going to be built on the Buick Encore platform at the Fairfax plant in KC. Hopefully it looks nothing like the Encore.

It seems like getting drunk and parking your boat somewhere it’s not supposed to be is also a thing at “the lake”. I immediately thought of the guy who docked his Sea Ray in the middle of th 15th green at Porta Cima a few years back and then tried to run on foot.

Having lived in Missouri most of my young life, I invite to come to Michigan and you’ll realize the roads there are pretty alright.

“Also I live in Kansas City now so I could easily just root for the Chiefs, but I enjoy being let down and fucked over.”

In a car like this, it’s to be seen slow rolling down the boulevard. In something like a classic Corvette or E Type, it’s about the wind, sun, etc.

I actually saw Corvette mule driving on Rochester Rd in Royal Oak a couple of weeks that had carbon fiber wheels on the front. I tried snapping a pic but traffic started moving again.

I know Cadillac is going to be introducing a small SUV similar in size to the Buick Encore but the Encore is built on the Gamma platform.

Well SLU is a Jesuit university and if anyone has perfected the art of sweeping things under the rug, it’s the Catholics.

Right, except when he first pulls out of that lot, the truck is already sitting there. He was either going too fast or just flat not paying attention.
