Z8 would have my vote as well. I actually saw one outside my office a few months ago and was shocked. The only one I’ve ever seen in person. Looked fantastic.

I grew up in St. Louis and my mom (also a native St Louisian) got me on the cheddar cheese on apple pie thing. I always thought it was more upper Midwest.

They’re not really denying it exists. It’s their most secure prototype, you have to go through GM’s equivalence of Fort Knox to leave the property with one so when they do leave Milford in a mule, they do it hoping someone will see it and take pictures.

Does the Envoy XUV count as a deck van?

That era of the 7 series, or in this case the B7, will always be one of my favorite BMW designs.

too Southern for the region, but too Northern to be claimed by the South.

Not sure what that guy was talking about with it being towed with a Zamboni, it drove off on its on power. We were thinking maybe they turned it off and the key wasn’t in the truck to restart it. I think the driver was pretty embarrassed and in his hurry to get it off the ice he almost slid it into the boards.

Even the north terminal is nicer than a lot of other airports (New Orleans, St. Louis, San Diego, etc). I’ve always liked Detroit’s airport. I think it was just named 3rd best in someone else’s rankings.

Not just cities, even college towns are getting invaded. I was in Ann Arbor over the weekend and kids ride em to tailgates with a case beer between their feet.

Believe it was the Intrigue

The driver is doing it. You can see his right leg moving and then can actually see throttle linkage moving if you look in there close enough. As for why they do it that way, I dunno.

Lots of good beer both in the city itself - Batch, Founders, Eastern Market Brewing, Atwater, Motor City Brewing Works - and the near suburbs - Griffin Claw, Urbanrest, River Rouge. There’s obviously a ton more breweries in greater Detroit (Drafting Table and Witch’s Hat some of my favs) but you’re gonna drive a ways

Agreed. I like the stock one better.

You’d be surprised how good some of the roads are for such a dysfunctional city.

If they went down Mound, they should have been able to find them fixing flat tires down the road a bit.

Totally get that. I was just making another comparison for areas that use a lot of salt, that amount pales in comparison to what the Proving Grounds uses. Using Oakland County is a pretty big area, places like Holly probably use very little salt since its so rural, but its still in the county.

Really interesting point. I was curious how much of a difference population density made on that figure in Oakland County since a place like Royal Oak is more densely populated than a place like Bloomfield Hills. Basically could an area with A LOT of salted roads come close to those GM Milford numbers? Combining the

Am I crazy or did I read recently the city or county bought this and was going to rehab it for office space? I thought it was part of a land swap with Gilbert and the city or something.
