Infiniti EX 35? It’s what he likes about his current car but in a smaller, easier to park package. +/- 300 hp with better power to weight than the FX.

I just really hate to get gas. I’d rather go to the grocery store than the gas station, at least I feel like I’m walking away with something. With gas, you pay your money and it just gets blown out the tail pipe.
Yeah, getting where you want to go on time and only getting 40 mpg. That’s gotta suck.
But the white ones look like Belugas!
The locals would have just told you “This road don’t go to Aintry. You done taken a wrong turn”
That I’ve never heard of such a thing makes me proud of my demographic.
Looking out of the window at the earth and clouds is one of the most beautiful things a human will ever see, but people seem to forget this.
I had mentally picked the van (mom drives one) and the Equinox (uncle drives one). My third wasn’t a classic under a tarp, it was a Lexus RX in gold, because demographics.
Yeah, mine was white with black stripes down the hood. “Sidewinder” edition. Recaros, Hurst 4 speed, gold BBS style wheels, plenty of rust, and evidently A/C (which does seem weird for a ‘70's eco-import). Along with all of those features it also had the “vapor lock” package, so summers lasted that much longer.
I had a suh-weet ‘78 VW Scirocco with a broken AC compressor in the middle of a Kansas City summer. For whatever reason rolling down the windows did NOTHING to ventilate the interior, so I kept an old folder in my car to stick out the window to direct airflow toward me as I drove. I loved that car but it was a…
That’s always been my confusion...why AREN’T there more competitors?
My dad had a Jeep Comanche that I considered getting from him when he was about to trade it in. He said he thought there was some problem with the 4wd, and whether it cost hundreds to fix or millions made no difference, I didn’t have it. So I regretfully passed on the truck.
Perhaps anything with the words “VW” and “Westfalia” associated should have been included.
Now a COYOTE on roller skates on the other hand...that could only end well.
I first went to Moab over 30 years ago, in 1992, and was told before anything else to stay on the trail and off of the cryptobiotic soils. I was pleased by the stewardship then, and I’m stunned it was ever allowed to get this bad.
Alternate headline: Airborne fireball disaster stopped by helicopter pilot’s own pee
Looking back it was the coolest car in the lot, but in high school all my plans of getting an MGB or Triumph went out the window when I realized I had the money to get a car immediately. There was a used car lot in town that had a yellow 73 VW Type 3 fastback for $900, which is right about what I had. Rather than save…
I once read a column in Road & Track where the author talked about all the cars he used to have, and someone had commented that he’d be a millionaire had he kept them. His response was HAD he been a millionaire he would have kept them.
A friend from college and I were driving home for break from Wyoming to Missouri. He told me about the time he was making the same trip solo and was in far western Nebraska in the middle of the night when he stopped at an empty rest area. He went into the bathroom and found what he thinks was a dead body on the floor…
Half a car is fine, I’ve seen people leave 2-3 car lengths from the car in front. If they’re worried they’ll be rear-ended and punted into the car in front from that distance they’ve got plenty of other things to worry about before that’ll happen.
