Growing up, our next door neighbor had one of these. I remember thinking that the entire car was garbage EXCEPT for the steering wheel, the car’s only redeeming feature. And a much better steering wheel than it deserved.

I rented a surprisingly capable Opel Corsa while traveling in Austria last month. The last question the rental agent asked before handing over the keys was “you CAN drive a manual transmission, right?”. I proudly answered “of course”.
