You’re thinking of “thats-what-i-meant-a-mology”
So is this a post about entomology or etymology?
I’ve been a car guy for over 30 years now, and I just realize I’ve NEVER DRIVEN an RX-7.
My wife thinks I watch too much TV. This is proof she’s wrong.
I used to joke that people who ride Harleys fall into one of two camps:
Hmmm...food for thought. I knew there was some issue with the head gasket, but I didn’t know if it was widespread, and I didn’t know about the throw out bearing. One of the reasons I was looking toward Subaru is because she really wants to drive a manual transmission (easy to find with AWD in a Subaru), but I honestly…
We live at the base of the mountains...we get temps sometimes in the ‘60's in January, and have seen snow as late as June. So with her being a new driver, I’m much more comfortable with getting her something with AWD. My car didn’t touch snow this past winter, so I would have burned through snow tires on my FWD car,…
it took until my fourth car before I had working washer fluid. I’m sure I could have fixed it on some of those first cars, but I found it was easier to tailgate through a puddle.
I was like you until I discovered 🤡🔪
Good to know, I’ll keep that all in mind.
We’ve had a similar experience when we turned in a leased Outback and watched it sell on their used lot for the list price from we leased it. The good thing is I have lots of time to find the right car, so I can walk away from anything that doesn’t look right.
I’m in the veeeerrrry early stages of finding a car for my daughter in the 6k range (8k tops), and I’m finding something weird going on. I’m looking at the Subaru Legacy and I’m finding that craigslist has worse cars listed at similar prices as used car lots, even dealer lots. So for the same kind of money I get a car…
Does it come with a Red Bull hat?
There was a time when driving a Kia meant something.
EXACTLY!
Ha! I fixed the floor pan of my VW Type 3 ($750, I think) with the only piece of sheet metal I had, a garbage can lid.
I drove a friend’s Boxter a couple of months ago and I just can’t get it out of my mind. The cheap, slow one...that’s what I want. I don’t want to go fast, I just don’t want to slow down for corners, and the Boxter made my GTI feel like an oaf. Five grand...I think I’d take this car over a trip to Hawaii.
I remember you
Have you driven a Fjord lately?
