In this timeline that was only, like, a week ago. I kid, but it really wasn’t that long ago.”

Most shows would get reamed for how much this first half of a season has been able to pack so much into a single episode. If this show had survived network television, this episode would probably have been spread out over three weeks (and if the network was still Fox, that three weeks would have been spread out over

I know a person who fits that description. He’s half-Bigfoot, half-submarine, and half-pinata.

Dear Nobody,

Y’all need an editor, surely they didn’t forget to include Moira Kelly.

Not at all how I expected Lilith's story to be or pan out, but it was a good one and I'm glad we finally got to meet her. My only question now is where does Lilith go after she passed on?

Even without having ever heard “I Want to Be Evil” before in my life, it didn’t take long to guess that Lesley-Ann Brandt was channeling Eartha Kitt. A real highlight of the half-season. I hope they eventually give Brandt a Grace Jones song.

So, yeah, this was Lauren German’s best work. She fully, 110% inhabited the role of Jack Monroe. I saw that old vet in German’s acting. And she sold the love story. What a lovely send-up of an episode.

I think people were a little hard on Gemini Man. It’s kind of videogame-y but in a good way. Will Smith pulling double duty mostly worked for me, and since the villain is trying to clone this legendary soldier, I got a kind of Metal Gear vibe from the whole situation. Mary Elizabeth Winstead is great, helping out

Watched a handful of movies yesterday as I fruitlessly attempted to ignore the fact that the students are back in town and we’re going to see an enormous spike in Covid cases.

I’m in California. The state is on fire right now. It’s always interesting when something happens that’s big enough to push Covid off the front page. The last time it happened here was the BLM protests. I joined the fantasy football league at work. I was in it last year and hope to have fun with it this year, provided

Of a sort. I do videos for a YouTube group on mysteries and I was asked to do one on piracy. I picked Anne Bonny because she’s fairly well known and has an interesting story. One thing led to another and now its an 11000 word script that will be over an hour long. And I consulted with a journalist, a historian and

Yeah, that one bit made me laugh out loud. I informed my husband that, were he ever to murder anyone, I’d be out the door, and he assured me the same. Ridiculous.  Rest of the episode was great, though!

It fits with his motif of appropriating stuff made by Jews into pseudo-Christian nonsense for his DC Movies.

Yeah, as I mentioned in another comment, Ellis’ American accent work isn’t great, but for Michael, it’s definitely exaggerated.

You are correct, as Maze is always dressed to fight (and win) in Mortal Kombat.

Wow. I am sure some agree with you, but the second season is when it got great and it still has lots of whimsy.

It got amazing.  If all you could take out of that storyline was “Mama drama”, you missed some of the best character work in television in YEARS, and virtually all of the additional awesome that is Aimee Garcia.

I’m worried I’m cutting Whedon too much slack here, but I really would like to know A) what, specifically, Whedon did, and B) why Fisher refuses to elaborate despite being given numerous opportunities to do so, and despite putting himself out there with these accusations in the first place. It seems like an “in for a
