You’re telling me a show run by old white guys who let let numerous men get away with abusive behavior for years tried to sap the personality out of the most famous beloved person on the planet, a person who happens to be a black woman? If you do regular maintenance it ain’t that bad.
But if you’re the type of person who thinks that replacing an outlet or a window screen is beyond your skillset, then it really might not be right for you.

Personally I agree it is slow and lucrative with more “dirt” to get your hands dirty, but the payoff is there if you purchase smart and manage smart for the long long term (ignore all the “stocks vs. real estate” arguments).

Property Manager here. If you get a good management company that really vets the tenants before approving them, and the house isn’t a total piece of shit, you really won’t be bothered often besides the occasional big repair.
