I’m sure this has been heavily covered, but I feel the twin snakes version of MGS1 was quite worth mentioning.

One of my favorite parts of videogames is unlocking stuff. That said, if it gave people the choice BEFORE THE GAME REALLY STARTS to unlock all the stuff, or give them cheat codes or whatever, that would be fine with me. I just wouldn’t make that choice.

I certainly hope that playing games or experiencing other literature doesn’t make you absorb the unrelated thoughts and beliefs of the author that aren’t expressed within the art. That would be a terrible existence, and severely limit the literature you could experience.

Separate the artist from the art. Or, don’t enjoy a very good game on principle. The choice is up to you!

Protip: go through the “upcoming” tab, which mostly has 0 played 0 starred stages. If you find a good stage, the creator likely has other great stages.

A coworker of mine makes better scrambled eggs than I ever have with PARMASEAN CHEESE just like this. I couldn’t believe it, and still have her make me eggs if she ever owes me a favor.
