I really wish Erik would quit. His articles and opinions are garbage.

I owe myself $2...i bet a $1 that somehow you would shit on Tesla and i bet another $1 you would mention nobody needs a certain type of vehicle.
That’s if the garbage Shilling wrote the article
I can’t wait until the titles are:
Start-up Finds One Weird Trick to Pissing Everyone Off.
The move doesn’t jeopardize the creation of 1000 jobs, only where those jobs will be. And of course there’s nothing saying this will ever really come to fruition.
Except they are not talking about building a plant in Spain, but in France. Not sure where the author got the Spain notion from.
The thousand people that would get a job in France are certainly not pissed.
I kind of expect better from you.
But Jalopnik’s quality has been so good lately. Oh wait...
Kinda surprised that they didn’t wedge a Tesla-dig into the headline to really get those clicks:
Agreed with all of the above. This article is pretty pathetic.
that, plus you make a verbal commitment to one and let the word get out. once that happens, the others freak out and they may even come back with an even lower rate. these factories are just assembly factories, so it’s not that big of a deal but better to not do that with parts suppliers (be up front with them, as you…
Another garbage clickbait headline. How are they pissing off “everyone possible?” Sure the factory workers who had hoped to be rehired might be disappointed, but that’s not “everyone possible.” I’m not pissed. You’re not pissed. Mrs Wilson from number 43 is not pissed. As the last paragraph clearly states, this is SOP.
I mean, yes, that’s how planning a factory works. You shop around for the best deal, and settle where it makes sense the most. Spain’s proximity to suppliers and presumably cheaper labor base all bode well. Best of luck to Ineos wherever they end up
To be fair, there were other sketchy drivers in sedans, sports car, and SUVs, but you notice the big pickups more. If a Porsche tailgated me, I wouldn’t notice as much as a truck with headlights 8' off the ground. Coupled that with their loud exhaust and engines, wobbly dynamics, and obnoxious stickers, these truck…
Having to go home to hook up a trailer vs having to go home and get the truck sounds annoying.
With how heavily the big 3 invest in trucks vs other vehicles, the market may not drop out too badly without some massive tax/emissions additions (which may just spike the used market even more). Trucks have been #1 for decades, so there’s not really a wagon/mini-van/CUV historical cycle to judge a fall from.
Neutral - Yes.
I may be wrong, but I think that it is supposed to be a sarcastic joke.
The European Malaise Era is gonna get weird
