I choose the American-built car because I built it in my garage.
Why stop at 100%? Tariff rates can go WAY higher, both in rates and effective ad valorem rates of specific tariffs.
Am economist. Can confirm: Domestic-produced goods prices are responsive to import tariffs.
It’s 0.97 ±0.09 “at 68% confidence”, so it’s a kinda obtuse way to say that the standard deviation of that parameter is 0.09. From the point estimate (0.97) and the sd (0.09), you can derive how robust it is and whether that’s good enough for you.
How do you even fit an 8-series INSIDE Belgium?
The increased cost of imports, even in one area, ripple through the economy. Maybe I don’t buy a car, but maybe the guy who makes the bread I buy does. Maybe the woman who cuts my hair does. They have to make a little more to cover the tax on their new Buick (or other imported or domestic car, because the prices are…
Tariffs work by distorting prices to change consumption behavior. They literally do not do the thing which motivates them in the first place if they don’t affect what I (and others) do and do not buy.

Sorry for droppin the PIT maneuver on your dad.
My body is ready.
That wasn’t his hand.
Those are both GREAT options for a Mini. I’m lucky to live in an area flooded with autocross and rallycross events, and both are a hoot. Have fun!
I don’t think it was meant as a joke, but rather as an exhortation to go try motorsport yourself. (Autocross is a nice gateway if you haven’t done motorsport before.) Encouragement, not joking. (But I could be way off here.)
to be honest, the seller pretty much said them all already.
