No. But a smoke smell would never stop me from buying a project car. That’s a negotiating point. Its easy to get out and would be the least of my worries.  Ive bought smoked-in cars before, and one good carpet and upholstery cleaning later the smell is gone.

+1, this car will cost you at least $5000.00 even if it was free. If you must have a Benz, find a nicer example. That “designo” paint is going to be difficult for any body shop to match, and it is already failing in some areas. “owner modifications” are almost always a CP.  Hard pass on this one.

Agreed. Lots of CP votes but this is really an NP.  Miles are low, its a manual transmission, the body is straight, and the price is right.  Yeah, the owner really should clean up the inside something fierce.  But this mess could give the buyer some negotiating room.  Who cares if someone smoked in the car?  A Rug

+1, NP at this price.  While dingy and gross, this one will clean up nice and likely sell later for more than you paid.  And they are fun toys.  NP all the way baby!

For me, CP at $4k, NP at $3k..  This example is high in mileage and a bit overpriced, and has a few gremlins to boot.  That said, Id be all over it at $3k.  I predict an NP win though.

Agreed, massive CP on this one because it is both overpriced and the seller is not correct on the NADA value.  10k would be a max for this one if everything checks out.

Sadly agreed Midlife - this one is just too expensive.  To get this wagon back on its feet in the looks and mechanical departments, one would be looking at $7000 - $10000, if not more...  This example should be $1000.00 at the most given the damage and known mechanical gremlins.

No doubt a CP.  If it was priced at 20-30k, it might be worth considering as an urban livery vehicle.  At 60k, you will lose half of your money at a minimum once the papers are signed.  Massive CP.

Had to CP it, only because I really do not like the modifications and the rear bulkhead.  At best, its ugly and poorly done.  At worst, its a safety nightmare that will result in one having their head sheared in the event of a rollover.  If it was a stock Amigo, I would have NPed it.

Agreed, had to CP this one, its just not for me, primarily because this Frontier S/C isnt worth the asking price. The S/C Frontier wasn’t particularly quick and had abysmal fuel economy. Its not collectible and it has a LOT of miles. Simply put, its a very dated powertrain that cant hold a candle to anything newer. At

Yeah, the interior is terrible and the center gauge cluster is misery...  But at this price and condition its a surefire NP.  This ION would be a blast to drive with the manual trans and upgraded engine.  Id be looking out the window instead of at the dash, so not too worried about interior aesthetics... especially at

Yeah, this one is all sorts of wrong, especially at $25k with 134k miles on the clock. A dual owner project Frankenstein BMW with that many miles is just a ticking time bomb on the buyers wallet - and ego. A used late model 400hp car can be obtained for the same money or less - and unmolested to boot.  Absolutely not,

This exactly.  The front end and lights were replaced due to a crash, not due to the owner wanting to mod the car.  The title is not clean, the ad is not truthful in why the car has the new C6 headlamps, and this is someone else’s project that has likely gone south.  Hard, massive CP at this price.  May be worth a

CP because it is a Lotus Elise, which includes all of the requisite problems and build quality issues that any Lotus Elise will have.  The Elise is fun to drive for about an hour - then it turns into a slow drain on the wallet and driver.

This S2K has some odd body gaps - but it is still a much better overall vehicle than the shady M5.

I voted NP because this is a cool car, somewhat rare, fun to drive, and worth the $5k - provided a PPI completes with no issues.

Gaaaahhhhh I really want to NP this Civic. This is a cool car and worthy of the price, but there are too many red flags on this one to award an NP. The “tune up” requirement and valve cover gasket leaks are a bad sign that there are major engine issues present. There are 230k miles on the powertrain which is very high

SuperCruise has a camera that watches your eyeballs and motions to make sure you are paying attention to the road. If your gaze shifts, it alerts and gracefully deactivates.

Agreed, I am so on the fence with this one. It is a cool and rare Saab which is worth something, but its not worth the $8000.00 entry price. These are not reliable even when restored and tuned, and I wouldn’t risk driving it cross country. As a car enthusiast, I am interested, but not at $8k. The average buyer would

I am guessing a LOT of people are going to complain about the color, and I get it, but this is a solid, welcome NP. This Lexus LS600h is in stellar shape, has the “Executive package” back seats with their own electronics and controls, and every option imaginable up front. These are reliable and solid, and should
