Im in. Total NP baby! I have always liked the Lincoln Mark-x line, and this example is in great condition for the price. The 5.0 engine is easily serviceable, the interior is in unusually good shape (for 80s Ford leather), and the body looks great. Next up, a Mark VIII from the 90s!

This RX7 is a shitshow that looks like it was bolted together by an inexperienced “shade tree mechanic” and does not even appear to be roadworthy. If one was to pull up to just about anywhere in this abomination, they would get instant redneck cred though. CP for me, even at $2500.00, but it might look nice parked

CP for this reason alone: “The seller says that he’ll take care of the import and titling issues here in the States, you just need to pony up the cash first.:

Agreed. this truck is A-w-e-s-o-m-e!!!, but I have to CP it. The loose wires under the dash, the various cracks and cheap fixes (bad welds) evident on the undercarriage, and the haphazard placement of the transmission and 4x4 engagement levers are all red flags. While some of this vehicle was professionally done,

Ahhh yes, the early Expedition engine head problem. I know several people that have had their spark plugs thrown from the head into their hood from those things... I feel your pain.

Agreed, I love the M715, but they can be found notably cheaper and in similar condition elsewhere. A sad CP for this one, at $5k-ish, I would go NP.

Agreed here. It is important to remember that HOAs are a buyer’s choice and that one does not have to buy a residence in an HOA community. I live in a town that has strict zoning and permitting controls, tags offenders, and enforces the law. So, an HOA really isn’t really necessary (but some do exist).

Totally agreed, CP for the same reasons. This example could easily get into the 30-40k cost to restore, and the end product wont be worth the time and effort. Shop for a cleaner example instead.

A sad CP on this one, and the main reason being that it is an AUTOMATIC Maxima wagon, and the automatic transmissions in the Maxima of the time were complete dogs. If this was a manual wagon, then it would be NP all the way. The manual really unleashed the SOHC v6.

Absolutely not, total CP. Never buy a car that has been messed around with to that degree, there are all sorts of problems waiting to happen. I doubt that they are actually getting 440bhp out of it, but even if they were, it wouldnt move a car this large any faster than a V6 Altima. That said, it does look fun, but

This one very sadly sounds exactly like Mason County.
2 meatheads - check
new, lifted pickup truck with oversize tires - check
“hold my beer, watch this” - check
Getting both the truck AND a backhoe stuck in the same muck - check

A backhoe was definitely the wrong tool for the job here. A skid steer on belts or tractor

NP all the way. I am not going to drive to Oregon to buy it, but if I was close, Id go pick it up now. I owned one of these and they are a blast to drive, easy to work on, and relatively bulletproof. SOLD!!!

I see this one going up as a huge NP win...

The Pao is super cool, I cant wait to see the updates! Congratulations! RHD in the US can be painful, I have been looking at some JDM classics but the RHD is a sticking point.

+1 - the TurboSupercharged 4 cylinder seems like it would be wheezy moving this much weight around, and noisy to boot. This wagon would be amazing with a proper 6 cylinder base engine and 8 cylinder performance model, and would likely obtain the exact same mileage. A nice write up on the engine performance would be

Note to all Craigslist advertisers - please dont take pictures of your car in front of your house or near your carport, especially if you havent paved your driveway. Double especially if your house needs a new roof. People may jump to conclusions about how much you spend on maintenance for the vehicle you are selling.

300 Horsepower? At the crank, or brake horsepower? And what about torque? Are you biased toward a specific cylinder configuration? Should it be boosted? Can I get a Miata with 300hp?

Yep, that is a factory heat shield applied to the underside of the hood. It is making contact with the components beneath it. Remove the heat shield at your (and the paint on your hood’s) peril...

@NoMoreGermanCars - this. Exactly this. CP only because it is priced about $6k too high. Other than that, it is a nice period example of the MB turbo diesel and should be a fun car to own. But it is not collectible or valuable otherwise. At 8K, I would take a look, and I have always liked these.

An interesting CP on this one. I do really like the truck and camper combo, and restoring one shouldn’t be too difficult. But I have to balance that against an obviously fake or rolled back odometer reading (that drivers seat must have at least 150k miles on it, the interior looks even worse) and the OPs lack of any
