Sam is way off on this one. One is far better off at least washing their car by any means possible versus leaving salt caked on for fear of microscopic scratches. And a hand wash does nothing to clear salt from the undercarriage and hidden parts of the vehicle. Ask any GM truck owner who has had their brake lines

But a service record isn’t available because the sellers buddy who is a mechanic replaced the timing chain after hours for cash!

Almost an NP for me, the only reason why I didnt go NP is that this is essentially a 12 year old AMG car rebranded as a Chrysler, and AMG mills are not known for their reliability. This may explain the 3 owner history. Trying to find a mechanic that can work on this will be like pulling gold teeth, and if the engine

Totally agreed, major CP on this one and not just because of the convertible top...

added to the list provided by wordtothis. CP all the way, CP at $4000.

Totally agreed. This is an interesting car to look at, but that’s where it ends. There really isn’t anything else redeeming about it, and I do not see it appreciating higher than the asking price for at least 20 or so years. It just isn’t that memorable of a car.

NP for ME!!! on this Lightning. These trucks were awesome back in the day, and this one appears to be in pretty good shape overall. Yes, there are some risks to buying from a corner used car lot, and the history of modifications isn’t great, but its nothing that couldn’t be sorted out during a weekend in the garage.

CP at the current price, one has to wonder if the clutch is completely shot and if the cylinders are below spec on compression. Never plow with a vehicle that wasn’t designed to handle it.

NP. For someone who likes this generation of VAG SUVs, this is a good buy, but warrants a long test drive and PPI. This is a Cayenne for a lot less cash, and will probably save some petrol to boot. And the Touareg always had a very nice interior.

Tough call, but CP here. Thankfully, this GT is manual and will not be plagued by the multiple Cambiocorsa transmission issues. Sadly, it is still a GT and will have the requisite mechanical gremlins that all GTs have other than the transmission. Even more sadly, it somehow managed to make it over 200,000 miles. The

“Wow, your new Lexus LX350 sure looks sporty in green and yellow. And I am glad they did away with that ridiculous grille”

Someone always has to bring politics into the conversation... Cant we just talk about cars?

Agreed - not knowing who did the conversion, or the structural rigidity that was sacrificed in order to perform the conversion, lends it to an instant CP. A relatively minor wreck in this car could mean death for both occupants if the structure wasn’t beefed up to accommodate the loss of the roof and pillars. Major CP.

Absolutely not, CP no matter what. A faux Ferrari is worse than a faux Rolex, and is worth about as much as well. I still have no idea why these fake Ferrari kits are still being built... CP CP CP, probably the worst CP of the year, especially at $21500. The Tiburon donor chassis was probably CP right off the lot, too.

Totally agreed on this. Better yet, build it all the way out to Elgin. OF course, this wouldn’t be in Chicago’s realm of control but it is sorely overdue. Especially since OHare parking will ding you for 40.00 per day.

Id take a mule pack pulling a rickshaw over any of the existing public transit in Chicago. It truly is that terrible, and then some. For a city that aspires to be “world class”, public transit is a true letdown in the Windy City..

Now that I see this article, I may go take a look at one of these when they hit the showroom floor. I am always wanting for cup space, and my current 8 cupholders just dont suffice.

My old Q45 didnt have any cupholders - a gross oversight by the Japanese overlords at the time...

Nope, at this point, the most likely explanation is that it was her husbands SUV, and he was using it to see someone else. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

One can indeed live a “life on the road”, but one would need a marketable skill to do so, and fragrance sales aint it.

I love the Porsche 944, its one of my favorite cars from my later youth, especially in Turbo guise. But the Callaway tune doesnt inherently make this version more collectible than a stock 944 Turbo. And 45 Large would be far, far better spent on a nice 90s used 911, which if maintained will appreciate in spades.
