“Stop buying canned, chopped tomatoes.” “I don’t like this product, so you should stop using it.”
No. Also, no.
They’re extremely convenient and I make great spaghetti sauce with them. I DO WHAT I WANT!

I have never understood the point of canned, chopped tomatoes.

I once had a young patient tell me she was using her father’s insurance and she was scared he would receive an explanation of benefits from his insurance company, so she looked up ways to end her own pregnancy on the internet.

I have this fucking conversation all the time with healthcare providers. And they also always tell me “you never know...”

This is the part I really don’t understand.  If you don’t want women to have abortions, the very least you should do is help eliminate unwanted pregnancies.

I once asked my wonderful sister-in-law, a natal nurse, about that scenario. She stated that while in the hospital, the woman is the doctor’s patient, period. Yes of course they try to do their best for the baby but until it’s outside her body, she is the only patient. This relieved me. Idk if it’s like that

This is a great, necessary piece.

I appreciate your views on this. Clearly it’s something you’re passionate about.

The morning of my hysterectomy, they did a pregnancy test. The nurse attending me pre-op told me they wanted to make sure I wasn’t pregnant, because then they wouldn’t do the procedure... one I was only going through with because of a huge fibroid that may have been cancerous.

Something that should be a part of the conversation is birth control, and the conservative fight to make birth control inaccessible.

This pisses me off beyond measure. Loss of a wanted pregnancy is a tragedy, but women are so often treated as third class citizens in this country especially in health care.

I have a young child, who I absolutely adore and would give my life for. That being said, until my child was actually born, I wanted my life prioritized over my unborn child’s life. I made this very clear to everyone who was there at birth; if it was between me and the unborn child, I wanted it to be me. Maybe this

I acknowledge I’m not fond of kids nor want them, but I would be freaked out as fuck at someone ever saving a potential person over a person. If someone hasn’t developed their brain enough to make basic human decisions (honestly I’d say post-birth there is still some of this time), I’d rather save the capable adult

I have an idea.

I had an abortion about 10 years ago, at the time there were only four clinics in my entire state and insurance did not cover the procedure. However, you could fill out a request for financial leniency in some cases.

Whelp. Like I need another reason to hate our society.

Just one more reason that if it not for your winters you’d probably have “caravans” of American “criminals” headed your way seeking asylum.

Holy shit. I am so glad I am Canadian. My whole process was make the appointment, they fit me in 5 days later (including a weekend), quick counselling session to make sure I wasn’t being pressured and knew what I was doing, I was out in two hours and went to my GP for the follow up a week later. Total cost: $5 for

That is horrific!

Here’s a weird but real danger folks don’t consider of non-supervised (because I’m sure PP would provide this for telemedicine) self-managed abortions:

In my state, an abortion provider must provide a patient receiving a medication abortion with a note for hospitals/medical/emergency care stating the patient is not
