The way Sony’s been acting about this movie I have to admit I found it incredibly amusing to scroll down and see the D grade.  They seem to think they have gold here, and are trying to use the cast from this in everything ever.

Was genuinely not expecting to get so emotional over this trailer.  One of the best trailers Marvel has ever done, and the Black Panther series just does not miss with the music.  Heavily looking forward to November now.

We know from set photos taken from the streets where they filmed that Deever and the DODC agents were originally N.I.C.E., so there were definitely some rewrites happening here. Probably just an occasion where they realized that it was superfluous to have a separate org when it could just be part of DODC, but yeah.

Agreed on the episode count thing.  If you are only going to do 6, then keep it tight for those 6 episodes, or make them long enough to cover everything.  They have variable length to work with, but they still always come out to around the same total length as a whole season, and it’s doing these series a disservice. 

The weird part of this is, is that if I didn’t know better, I’d think we still had like 3 episodes left with where we currently are in the story. The finale is gonna need to be longer to satisfying tie up loose threads (we still need a reconciliation between Kamala and Nadia, Bruno’s decision about CalTech, family fall…

Trying to not get into spoilers, but there’s basically nothing in the film without Miller in it.  They’d have to reshoot the entire thing, and it was 200M to begin with. 

Considering that there’s a casting call out for an older teen Billy for House of Harkness, I wouldn’t be surprised if she shows up as early as that.  Or rather I should say it doesn’t specifically name Billy, but the description is him to a T, including that the character is proudly gay.

Another point that I haven’t seen brought up yet is that she’s not actually a djinn. The Clandestine are their own thing that only came to this dimension within the past century, and were just mistaken for djinn.

Exactly, it’s straight out ignoring how well it’s doing.  Maverick had the 2nd best 4th weekend of all time just now, beating out Black Panther and The Force Awakens.  It’s on track to beat out Titanic’s domestic gross FFS.

As a Floridian, I kind of don’t care how well it’s handled.  I just can’t watch it, maybe ever. 

I really enjoyed the superteasers they made. I actually laughed at multiple things, unlike almost any acting challenge ever (that Deja thumbs up really got me, same with Willow and the meal voucher).
