Because the Steve identity is British, but Marc isn’t. So it wouldn’t be a flawless accent. Not a terrible way to help differentiate his different identities.
It was SUCH a simple song too. If you are gonna show a talent to try to impress, maybe pick something with more than a total of like 10 notes that are spaced way out?
From some semi-reliable sources, they apparently paid her to get vaxxed finally.
I’m assuming by “getting the special shot” he means filming a performance for like a Netflix special or something?
Right? And for her biggest song! I was actually really excited that Drag Race is finally paying for music for something like the talent shows. Especially after years of stuff like Coco Montrese not being able to do her Janet Jackson for All Stars and ended up doing...what she did.
This happened to one of my relatives as well. As a gay man, I picked up on her husband being gay within about a second of meeting him, but with how conservative my family is I never said anything. It was so obvious to me that I actually assumed she knew. He finally came out recently after quite a few years…
I thought about that too, but with her being Yvie’s drag sister, I’m sure she got some good advice on how to translate to the format.
After SO much Drag Race last year, and season 13 being a pretty big let down for me, I found this incredibly refreshing. It actually felt a little bit like earlier seasons RPDR again and I hope that stays true. Willow’s performance made me belly laugh from the very first note of Enya, it caught me so off-guard.
Lan and Nynaeve’s relationship was basically off-screen completely in book 1 until suddenly they are confessing their love in the Blight out of nowhere. Thusly, I too am loving this version of their relationship where we actually get to see it develop.
I think the main “change” is that they continued the relationship once being raised to the shawl, but it’s still easy to buy this could have happened (and it was a great scene).
I’m on book 4 of my re-read right now and I had somehow managed to forget how much I hate Elaida, so the Umbridge comparison is quite apt.
According to the episode descriptions, we’ll get the Dragon reveal next episode!
The block thing is basically what I was getting at. If that gets cut you lose so much beautiful character moments down the line that are some of my fav moments in the books.
After how incredible episode 4's ending made me feel, this was definitely a let down that I’m trying to cope with still. It’s not even that’s bad by any means, just that the focus wasn’t going where I had the most interest. I needed the Stepin stuff cut down by like half (loved the Forsaken statuary), and more time…
Nynaeve is my girl in the books, and the end of this episode was full on Avengers: Endgame level of overwhelming, tears streaming down my face, whole body buzzing experience. There was an extremely brief flash of bright light at the end of a promo for this ep that planted the seed in my mind that Nynaeve would maybe…
I feel like the ending of TEotW is absolutely ripe for change (especially with how confusing it is even on the page and how certain early things were more or less one offs and weird first book-isms), and I think there’s some pretty fun stuff you can do there. We already know that the Caemlyn stuff is moved to S2…
First episode was absolutely a bit shaky, but as a longtime reader I feel like it really gets its legs under it in episodes 2 and 3. I couldn’t help but be super nervous but I’m already relaxed into it and enjoying it quite a bit. Imagine my surprise when a show-only character in ep 3 (Dana) ended up as one of my…
Natalie really lives in your head rent-free doesn’t she? It’s getting a little ridiculous how much you bring her up if it’s even remotely related to an article here.
I hear he’s got Venmo payments ready for to help pay for school!
