I would like to think that they all apologized to each other, piled in that Subaru, bottoming out the suspension, and then proceeded to bankrupt the local Golden Corral.

It’ll never happen. Too many companies profit tremendously off people being ignorant, and tons of lobbying happens by those companies to make sure it stays that way.

Trust me, the arch is the absolute last thing you should worry about freaking you out in Missouri/STL

Missouri has had a Republican majority legislature for the past 20 years. There’s your answer to why the lack of traffic laws and infrastructure. And they currently have an $8 BILLION budget surplus.

Missouri also has very few if any open container laws. Passengers are allowed open containers and can drink in cars. The amount of open containers allowed is total passengers minus one, for the driver. However, this means there is a grey area where drinking and driving is basically allowed. And laws are rarely

St. Louis is ridiculous, no one does the speed limit plus 5 or 7 like the rest of the country. 7 lanes of traffic and it's either people going 10 under the speed limit or 30 over

Opposite problem in Phoenix. Always some Snow Bird with MN plates has his blinker on. Probably been on since Albuquerque.  And just because the right blinker is on doesn’t mean he isn’t going to turn left across 4 lanes of traffic.

There is an interesting detail from their report:

Missouri transplant here. I’ve lived North of KC for 16 years now and every single day, it seems, I’m shocked by how appallingly shitty the drivers are here. They are mind-bogglingly bad. Driver’s Ed is not a thing here. Turn 15, get a permit. Turn 16, get a license.

It’s always a white-knuckle ride for me whenever I pass through St. Louis to get to...other places. The interstate signage is confusing, the lanes seem narrower than they need to be, the pavement is really rough for the speeds you’re driving and the drivers...woof...the drivers and their cars scare me the most. Lots

Utah’s the same way.  Salt Lake County, Summit County (Park City) and Grand County (Moab) are blue because of high minority and moved from out of state populations, the rest of the state is a geographically beautiful shithole.

Even worse, it is practically a law that when someone in the car sees the Arch they have to point it out to everyone else in the vehicles.

Having sat in a Missouri municipal courtroom to see what the red light cameras were doing, the majority were issued because the drivers did not stop before reaching the wide white line, though most stopped after, while doing the “right on red” turn. Mainly a technical foul rather than a dangerous one.

An overwhelming number of people not being able to tell truth from fiction and wanting desperately to deny reality is costing us elections, and this comment is definitely a great example of that.

Your comment comes across as “its okay if we kill hordes of people as long as people like driving.” Personally I feel like there are ways to make streets safer by allowing some cars and also providing more protected biking and pedestrian infrastructure. We’ll happily spend a several billion dollars to widen highways bu

You suck.

Who is “the dickhead in the internet now?

Shut the fuck up, dickhead.

JFC dude, couldn’t you just take all this to your therapist instead of hashing out here?

I don’t think TruthBeTold’s left hand could leave him, no matter how much it would like to.
