Correction not a billion stores about 10-11k stores, vastly different. They’re in only 19 states with really limited spread compared to America. Americans are their money makers and as a former Walmart employee I’m not surprised what so ever by this article. I saw stuff like this happening to my coworkers and to a

The comments his lawyer makes at the end of the article are pretty dead on correct, companies will spend a lot to minimize WC payouts. A friend of mine got hurt in a car wreck, non work related, and had severe back injuries. He tried to “tough it out” after the first surgery, but he was unable to work for a long time.

Hard.

Good. Fuck Walmart.

With all the other tech that governments mandate in cars, they should have mandated cell signal blockers that are on whenever the vehicle is in gear.

I think it’s the law in just about every state at this point. And no, no one pays attention. That said there are studies that show even hands free calling is a distraction while driving.  Though typically it’s the more brain taxing the conversation the more distracting it is.

Probably both.   Person in front shouldn’t be stopped, but the person behind should have been paying attention.

I love how people online who don’t live in areas where lane splitting isn’t legal are always so upset over the topic. Meanwhile in California everyone’s totally fine with it. Most freeway lanes are wide enough for cars to not even need to move over but they do it anyways. In a country that is full of selfish people

That’s 100% bullshit. Humans adapted a fear response specifically to keep us alive.

There’s plenty to fear in life without adding unnecessary risk to it.

I don’t ever do it if traffic is moving at more than 15 miles per hour. That seems reasonable.

Look IMO lane splitting is fine, in stopped traffic in a traffic jam, or stop and go, but 100% do no think it should be legal in moving traffic when people would be merging/changing lanes.

Why should I have to press my car close up to a semi, giant SUV, or even more scary, a Chubbietruck in the lane next to me just to give some idiot on a crotch-rocket space to go zooming up past all of us?”

Have you ever traveled to europe?

Motorcycles are a quick way to being an organ donor. Hard enough to get people to put down their cellphone while driving a vehicle.

Instead of replacing the car, maybe relocation is a better choice? Put the $60k into somewhere other than the same NJ area? The outback of Allentown, PA?  Get an EV that covers the commuting miles and keeps your family safe?  What the F is wrong with NJ?

Don’t worry, there’s a new Sheriff in town at the DOJ.

That’s genuinely impressive. Heck, the only test to even crack the windshield was the pole test.

I would totally buy this thing for $8K, I’ll even splurge for an upgraded sound system.

As someone who has driven in India....I completely understand the need for a safe vehicle.
