I fully expect to see the clerks picketing the stores. Maybe holding up signs saying “We won’t get shot in the face for $80".

I was beginning to wonder if Kotaku was going to run a Zelda article today.
I hope someday they release a 2DS with 3D capabilities
These are still hard to find? There’s maybe a dozen at one of my local Walmarts, with a several also on shelves at Target and Best Buy. Of course, my local stores are hardly a true representative of store shelves across the globe.

The simplified combos were actually an option in MvC3. It sounds like they’ll be optional here as well.
This isn’t a problem just for anime fans, but for anyone who participates in any streaming service. Way back when Netflix hit it big, different companies saw how much money was being made. Some companies, like the various production companies whose content was being streamed, saw the amount of money they were making…
There’s likely a rights issue. Marvel is/was notorious for licensing out a third party character, introducing them into the Marvel Universe, then letting the rights lapse, creating holes in collected works and causing all sorts of mayhem when trying to add these characters into movies, games, etc.
I’ll add the install file to my folder of other fan projects that Nintendo will rip from the internet before I have a chance to install and play.
It will not surprise you to hear that Nintendo is making a mini-SNES
I imagine the NES Classic would cut into any profits Nintendo would make from the Switch marketplace.
This sounds like it might actually be fun. But, not fun enough for me to run out and buy an Oculus Rift and a computer to attach it to. I have the PSVR, but since Oculus helped fund this project, I don’t imagine that will ever be an option.
Country Roads always makes me think of Whisper of the Heart.
I’m not arguing that Nintendo should have let the project slide, nor am I saying the guy was in the right by making a Zelda game to begin with.
To be fair, creating a project called Zelda Maker and using assets from Zelda games was never really going to escape the watchful eye of Nintendo. And I get that Nintendo has to protect their intellectual property. But you’d think Nintendo could find a way to protect itself that doesn’t make them out to be such huge…
Not yet, but if it proves successful on mobile and Windows 10, can you honestly see them leaving that money on the table by ignoring the other platforms?
I’ve been waiting for this to happen ever since Microsoft bought Mojang. There are way too many mods floating around for this game for Microsoft to not want to monetize it somehow. Now, the next step is to push this to the PC and console versions, then start squeezing out all the third party mods that aren’t going…
The argument could be made that Rockstar puts their new content behind a pay wall, since most of the newer content requires a hefty amount of in-game currency to purchase on release. Making money in-game is just difficult enough to make buying Shark Cards tempting if you aren’t part of an experienced crew. Even then,…
I agree that it wasn’t as bad as the comments make it out to be. I can see how fans of the source material would be disappointed, but that doesn’t make it a terrible movie. Hollywood has set the bar tremendously low when it comes to anime adaptations, and I hope we can all agree that this was no Dragonball Evolution.
I’m guessing a lawyer from Nintendo was involved in this somewhere.
Has Nintendo ever really had incentive to improve? They’ve been riding off the high they got from the Wii without really considering why it was popular or how much the market trailed off for it before all was said and done. As a result, we got the Wii U, which didn’t really fit in the console generation it was…
