Just make it available on modern platforms. I mean, I’ll buy it if they go for an HD upgrade, a Secret of Mana remake style, or a FF7 revision. But the game stands pretty well on its own.

If it had just been an email, could Kotaku have put three articles on the front page about it?

So, because she’s baffled why people would make a meme out of a random line from a trailer, she described her first experience in green screen acting as weird, she had a weird description of her movie in an SNL monologue (likely not written by her), and she’s frustrated by perceived cancel culture (I think), she hates

Yeah, it’s racist, sexist, transphobic and homophobic, but it’s also just plain awful

Pretty much all of these exclusives end up on PC, so I don’t think anyone is holding a gun to your head for buying pointless hardware.

I think there’s a bit of a difference between locking the games of a single studio behind an exclusive deal and locking a third of the video game industry and one of if not the biggest franchise behind an exclusive deal. I’m not making excuses for any exclusivity deal, but there is more nuance here than “Sony bad.”

How much work does it take to develop on the PC platform alongside the PS5 and XBSX? I’m fine with Rockstar not working their development teams to death just to launch on an additional platform.

I wouldn’t say they didn’t support L4D2. They released two new campaigns for it and ported over the entire first game to run in the second. Sure, they didn’t turn it into a live service, but its not like they just didn’t do anything with it once it shipped.

I think it’s a fallacy to assume that if Sony were charging a smaller cut that the game would cost less for consumers. We’re just arguing how much each corporation gets to take home. There is no evidence to suggest that the cost of video games correlates with the cost of hosting and selling the game in these digital

The reason we’re here is for three reasons:

I don’t think these problems go away as long as shareholders are involved. If you’re having to show continual and never ending growth each quarter/year/whatever, you will inevitably run into a situation like they did with Cyberpunk where you have to make compromises that you may not want to make.

The only shocking thing here is that people are still shocked by EA’s shady business practices.

I’d cry them a fucking river if not for the fact that every year these companies are boasting of record breaking profits to their shareholders while axing half of their staff after a game launch.

Someone should release a mod that creates a toggle in the options menu for disabling the pronoun question, except when that option is enabled it just puts a diaper and a pacifier on your character.

It doesn’t help that the entire industry is running on FOMO and the insane hype trains generated for big releases makes people want to get the game as early as possible.

I don’t think it is unreasonable to hope that the studio would do something to mix things up a bit. I’ve enjoyed all of the games of their I’ve played, but for the most part, they are all the same damn game. You can’t get mad about it because this is Bethesda and that’s what they do, but that doesn’t mean people are

They should just take inspiration from Simone Giertz and basically just put a truck bed on a Tesla. No need to reinvent the wheel, especially if its going to be a nightmarish, over-complicated door wedge.

Naming their channel GAF seems a little on the nose.

So, I should skip the $50 PS port and buy a Series X so I can get the $30 instead?
