HA! NERDS!

Living and working in this market, I'll say it was a welcome respite from the usual 9 minutes of shootings and 12 minutes of weather you get from Charleston TV news most nights.

You know, I gotta say, I was expecting more.

Yes, and the playoff nasayers are the equivalent of Tony Schiavone spoiling/clowning Mick Foley's first WWF Title win on that very same WCW Monday Nitro.

The issue is that the NFL is applying a greater standard of possession to one facet of the game that it is not applying to others. The example I've used repeatedly: the ground cannot cause a fumble if a player who otherwise clearly and firmly possessed the ball loses control of it upon making contact with the ground.

You can see the exact moment as his hips square to the basket mid-flight when briefly he breaks free of gravity and continues elevating above and beyond the limits we lesser humans know. I am afraid for my safety, knowing such a superior being walks this earth.

He should've busted Lou in the mouth. Sure, he might've gotten his ass whipped, but he would've felt better about himself all these years later.

Piano bars, good; ice bars, the worst.

McMalley's Celtic O'Boozehole ... trademark it, quickly. I would go ridiculously out of my way to drink at a bar called McMalley's Celtic O'Boozehole. Monetize this.

Because people, as a rule, are inherently petulant, destructive, spiteful and cowardly little fuckers, extraordinarily more so when we feel anonymous and free from consequences as part of a more insulated and protected group. As Freud and others have put it, Homo Homini Lupus (man is a wolf to man).

Really, though, he did ol' Kirby Fuckett a favor, because that hat is the worst.

Ndamukong Suh: "What's the problem? That was totally legit. Not dirty at all."

Aaron Hernandez

The only things missing were Jim Ross on commentary and the Spanish announcers' table to break his fall.

Ridiculous as that would sound normally, there was honest conversation about that here in South Carolina when Lattimore was in high school. He was a fully-grown monster in the 11th grade playing in the highest level of high school football in the state, and some asked if there was even a need for kids like him to go

It sounds like some kind of vocalization they would play on Finding Bigfoot.

Now playing

I feel like the lunatic in Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon over here chuckling like a fucking moron about this for the last 10 minutes. I keep watching it, and laugh every time, like this baby, losing my shit over a dumb noise as soon as the slow mo starts.

Dogfish Indian Brown is a wonderful beer. Rare here in South Carolina where I live though. Total Wine gets about 1 shipment a year. There was also a similar Stone collaboration beer out a few years ago (TBA - Texas Brown Ale: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1…) that remains one of my favorites of all time.

Will, in my experience, Ommegang progressively has become more expensive here in South Carolina over the last few years to the point I've been outpriced. Love the beer, but $18 for a 4-pack, $12 for a bomber is outrageous compared to other craft options available at a more reasonable price.
