I mean, OSHA won’t think that’s funny.

Not too bad, since they cranked the ventilation. Movie theaters were pretty bad tho, and restrooms. Every single urinal worldwide would be choked with butts.

I mean, it’s the bubble tops. That 61 LeSabre is a looker.

I might rock a sleeper one though.  460s fit.

I think most youngsters have never seen the worst of the 71-73 cars, since the only pics you see anymore are the decent looking variations.  And the 69/70 coupe was no looker either.

I had this very car for a while. This would have been in the very early 80s. I got a really good deal and maybe 6 months later got an offer I couldn’t refuse. Then in the next 10 years prices went through the roof. Between this and my 68 1/2 Cobra Jet fastback I must have left a couple hundred K on the muscle car boom

GTR was affordable the first couple of years, I actually bought one. Running costs were a different matter.  And might as well be driving an Altima on the street with all the potential you can’t use + 2 pedals so even less fun.

If you think owning a Mustang is the same as owning a 911 I question whether you have ever even ridden in one.

I mean, like I said upthread, I don’t do it anymore because I don’t want to be that hyper aware every goddamn morning at 04:30. And since my commute is less than 10 miles on mostly surface streets I don’t even save any time. In fact, if you count rolling the bike to the curb and gearing on and gearing off and stopping

Most people who can afford this will be old. It’s a nice GT car you can hustle if you want. 911s have been in that niche for a bit outside of the GT3s and the like.

I mean, I rode every single day when I lived in Yolo County. Big difference between Yolo County and the 405 or 91 at o dark thirty. More cars, more traffic, more shit on the road, 60 mph 6 lane surface streets with left turn access every block. Toss in the level of distraction now, and I honestly feel safer on a

Yeah, I said that for the first decade I commuted in SoCal traffic, but things are different now. It got to the point I wouldn’t even drive my Franken7 in low light conditions. At least on a bike your eyeline is higher, but having to be on your game every single morning so you don’t die is way more stressful than

Teslas probably crash for the same hoon related reasons Corvettes and 911s do.

Hell, you could drive that now. It’s just a Shala-Vette kit on a VW chassis.

Won’t help if they just tow it, but a good idea anyway.

Honda’s leather is garbage anyway. I wouldn’t option it if I was planning to keep it for a decade or whatever. Their cloth seats wear like iron.

LOL, it’s fine. Might not be the best for 2 up, but the OG GL500 only had 50. People are jaded with gaudy power numbers on new bikes

A Cobra replica or other old car  I might take a flyer on. You can strip one down in any 2 car garage, and it has aftermarket electrics anyway. Depends how long it had been sitting I guess.

I had the misfortune of having to try and sell these new. They were always going to be niche, but calling it “Silverwing” might have helped some. Honda really had some underappreciated gems in this era. This, the original Transalp, the CB1 and the NT650 were all absolutely fantastic bikes that ate flooring charges

I had mine welded up by some midget/sprint car guys.  It’s not rocket science, but you’ll want to be able to weld.
