I agree with you that the capabilities of performance cars today have far exceeded the ability of even “above average” drivers. I also agree that the ZR-1 (and any “hypercar”) is just complete overkill; most of them will be tucked away in collections and won’t get driven very often. Even the base C8 is more

I thought it was for parking outside a  Bass Pro Shop on a Saturday in the Summer and bragging about while wearing cargo shorts.

There is one, crucial question which you have to put to the current owner before you consider buying:

Be square. I would totally buy an affordable, comfortable, retro-boxy car like a 240, Acclaim/Spirit, or Ciera.

As the saying goes - “you can milk a cow everyday, but you can only bleed it once”.

“This car needs is a base that EVERYONE can hear” is not the thought of a serious person.

Yeah, I know I’m probably being prejudiced, but the monstrous subs seem to suggest “I probably abused this car in ways that aren’t immediately evident, because I’m kind of a knob.” The fact that he’s selling it for less than he paid in maintenance alone says, “There is probably something very wrong with this car

I was on the fence, but the presence of that sub box makes me uneasy about the whole deal. CP

I’m of the opinion that the early 70's Mustang Grande that preceded the Mustang II as worst (ugly, bloated, not particularly quick), but yes, the Fox is the best spiritual replacement to the original Mustang, nowhere near the worst.

Can we stop listing a turbo as a feature? They havnt been special since the 90's / early 2000's.

The fact that it is required to engineer and implement a mechanical “back up” suggests to me that it is absolutely not cheaper or more cost effective to go with electronic door pulls.

That front release is well designed and intelligently placed. The rear one is fucking stupid, and makes me wonder if they had 2 separate departments designing the front and rear doors.

Can you imagine the morons who sat there designing this thing and literally thought “how can we better hide this emergency release latch so it can’t be seen at all?”

I suggest the South American solution to illegal vehicle acts like this; Helicopter, 7.62X51 into the hoods

On several occasions, I scrounged up bottles and cans to return for the deposit to get enough gas money to drive home from college. My first year I only went to school 70 miles from home...

It was under a dollar when I got mine. Bloody expensive when you only make $4/hr. <shrug>

I would be scared that a few droplets of gas will get on my paint when I remove the filler.

Why not both sides?

We could do a press conference and pull out all of those cars out here and get like a steam roller and roll over a Corvette or something...
