Id much rather have a backup camera, and a car thats more structurally rigid and better designed than not have a backup camera.  In fact if i look at my list of dream cars you cant see crap out the back of all of them

I’d take that a step further and say all car brands should stop wasting their time and money trying to create crude, baffling, really bad smart phone infotainment systems that are complete garbage. As long as your phone can connect to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, nothing else is needed.

Why not both?

As a driving enthusiast, I definitely don’t like having to interact with screens to operate a car

Bluetooth and a nice screen with Apple Carplay or Android Auto is all anyone needs.
