i would say Star Wars (“A New Hope” for you kids), because i’m gen-x, but i’m also surprised none of the actors here said The Princess Bride or Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure -- talk about endlessly quotable and joy-producing for me. i never tire of those two, and i will always watch them if they are on.

i always thought that if anyone puts “don’t @ me” that obviously means “yes please DO @ me, because i desperately want the attention.” that’s not the case?

laughing at everyone who hates the exercises that actually work your core, like those donkey kicks and burpees. yes, i agree they suck, but they also actually work if you just suck it up and do them.

my initial thought when Maz gave Chewie that medal was not that it was Chewie’s missing medal, but that it was Han’s, which hit me as a far more poignant thing. but if it’s meant to be Chewie’s, it’s just there to shut up decades of pedantic nerds from whining about it.

i think they didn’t show the full battle in order to keep the TV-14 rating. it’s supposed to be a family show.

true, it’s all internet-based. none of the trans people i know have ever said anything that would be taken that way. i am trying, but sometimes i do slip, and they are patient. old language memories die hard.

while i have no problem using “they” as a singular pronoun, i *do* have a problem with people immediately assuming i’m some kind of transphobe and jumping all over me if i slip up while trying to relearn old ingrained grammatical habits while i rewire my brain. please be patient with people.

i think i will do that. we try to get together every couple weeks for dinner, but yeah, schedules get tricky.
