Nobody cares if you think MN winters are chilly. Get tough or move south.
Nobody cares if you think MN winters are chilly. Get tough or move south.
That is hyperbole. You could definitely spend 30 minutes outside without dying. You’d just need the proper equipment and the right breed of dog. And before you try to “Minnesota-splain” how cold it is to me, I lived in a tent at -40F (plus windchill) for weeks at a time, working outside for 8 hours a day. 30…
Perhaps we are saying different versions of the same thing; if you eat enough snow to stay hydrated (as you rightly point out, snow contains much less water per volume than, uh, water) you’ll be ingesting A LOT of snow. If you are in a survival situation were your body temperature is already being compromised, eating…
So, anyone who knows more about beer than you do is a troll? Cool.
If the Germans didn’t invent beer, why do they get to define what beer is? Hint: they don’t. They made a very narrow definition of what beer is for THEM. Belgians (who have been brewing circles around Germans for hundreds of years) laugh at German Beer Purity Laws.
LOL. You think the Germans invented beer. Funny that.
As one who studies pollution in precipitation, I’ll agree that eating a small amount of snow that hasn’t touched anything else (e.g. if you daughter is taking snow from the top of the fence, make sure there is a buffer of snow that is touching the fence that she isn’t eating) is fine. I wouldn’t go making snow cones…
Fair enough, but then hopefully he gets some indoor fetch/wrestling on those days. He still need exercise.
This is mentioned in the original article (and by other commenters) but *exercise your dog*. Some breeds need more exercise than others, but most breeds would benefit from two(or more) 30 minute walks )or more) per day. If you don’t have time to do that (or don’t like to leave the house when it’s raining/snowing/below…
Maybe some context of where the restaurant is located would be helpful. Are there lots of other bars (i.e. places with TVs) around? If so, then adding a TV probably won’t help.
What????
a) you called me “junior” first, champ/pal/buddy/mate/slick/chief.
I guess you are trying to use semantics to avoid admitting you are wrong, er...(checks notes)... “junior”. A lambic is a type of beer. It is not a “beer plus something extra.” You are dead wrong about this.
Kate does a nice job of explaining why you are wrong above, but if you’d like to hear it another way, a lambic is 100% a type of beer, as is an oatmeal stout, as is Miller Lite. You may not like those styles of beer, but that doesn’t make them “not beer.”
I hope it does have GMOs. It would make want to drink more of it.
So you don’t drink lambics? Or oatmeal stouts? Or milk stouts? I mean, that’s fine, but I think you are defining beer incorrectly.
Very well stated. I didn’t think it was possible for me to like Bud Light less than I did pre-Super Bowl. I was wrong.
Can I ask an honest question about the other Bud Light ads, the ones denouncing other beers for using corn syrup?
So maybe you aren’t looking for a nerdy answer here, but this is one anyway. Two mistakes you made: 1) by adding other things to the whiskey you lowered the freezing point (adding any solute to a solvent lowers the freeze point). So next time just try to make a whiskey-sicle, not an old fasioned-sicle. 2) Burying…
Would you agree that kids need exercise and are probably not getting enough exercise? I think that’s the primary benefit of PE (also to burn off energy of hyper kids so they might sit still long enough to learn something in class). A secondary benefit is social skill development (especially in elementary school)…
