I’m literally the wokest person I know (and I currently live in Portland) but you are going out of your way to find something to be offended about. I don’t make a habit of telling another POC how to feel but there’s literally a million other things to be outraged about. Let this one slide.

It is honestly a weird complaint. The vast majority of Trans people killed are people of color. So if you make a movie where the victim and perpetrator are white, are you being racist?

I know, calling Sutherland’s “my dear boy” as being racist is a huge reach.

but it sure was racist when he called Detective Mendoza “dear boy. No. No it’s not. Sutherland (and his eyebrows) are a senior, likely English educated, art and humanities expert and “dear boy” is not in anyway an ethnic slur and commonly used. My very senior boss uses it all the time when giving me a slight,

Just a theory but I think Grace has dissociative identity disorder and that part of her knows about the affair and her husband losing his job, that she followed him after he left the fundraiser, saw them banging at her studio, and killed Elena after he left. The image she saw at the bus stop of Elena getting that

Yeah, I’m gonna assume Kayla doesn’t read comments and missed the discussion on this in last week’s review. But, while I understand her good intentions, but I find them severely misguided in this case. I mean apparently she’s going to bring it up *every* week (no matter what direction the character goes in?) Because

He has a truly irresponsible amount of children.

I tried to watch it. I got two episodes in and realized I didn’t care what would happen to these people.

It was always going to get worse. The point of the lockdown was to keep the strain off the hospitals. Most hospitals are back to pre-corona levels so now we can open things back up slowly and the hospitals won’t be overloaded. If they start getting overloaded we cinch back down again for a bit.

Hey, it’s not a slideshow. Good work!!

Sepinwall’s review is pretty much:

I watched the entire season and your “white fish out of water” description is puzzling. Maybe try it again? If only because it’s really good. I think the finale was some of the best TV I’ve seen this year.

It’s been a LOOOONG time since I worked in food service, but we were offered the option to either wear gloves or not. The benefit of wearing gloves is that it’s far quicker to swap out gloves than to spend 20 seconds scrubbing your hands every time they get contaminated (cross contamination, picking up something off

Unless you have an open wound on your hand or are about to perform surgery, it seems pretty pointless. Possibly even counter-productive.

I suppose if you are older or immunocompromised, sure. But if not, then the reality is that your one mask might be the difference between a healthcare worker being able to keep showing up for work or getting infected and being down for a few weeks that our healthcare system doesn’t have.

“Then again, he also says that he thinks Bernie Sanders should drop out of the primaries and hand the Democratic nomination to Joe Biden, which is also not going to be an especially popular position”

A couple possibilities that we can’t rule out:

This is dumb. At no point in his time as commander is Li Shang interested in Mulan; if anything, it’s the opposite (though she would never approach him).

But isn't it just as racist/offensive for people of a certain race, sexuality or nationality (in this PC movement case mostly straight white americans) to tell people of other races and nationalities what they should or shouldn't be offended by? It feels condescending, as if those other people are too dumb or too

The AVClub, proving that even the most unimportant, irreverent and stupid shit like Cheech and Chong can be offensive and should be condemned because they don't adhere to the modern white american political correctness belief.
You know, I find it offensive that american people keep telling other people what they should
