Since Jalop readers are so adamant about only buying used they will be paying for gas powered used cars for decades to come.

How many years did it take for BMW to get refinement? It didn’t happen in their first neue klasse car. It’s Kia first major performance oriented car. Albert was responsible for the cars everyone still praises as BMW’s halos. No mention of all the auto journalists who raved about it?

*Disclaimer, I’m biased.

Well, first of all it’s much larger than a 3-series. Compare it to a 5-series and then things make more sense.

It is because it is a WRX STI. The flat brim hat guys will accept no substitute.

if you are just comparing awd and hp...then sure. but the STI and the stinger are very different cars all around. Buying an STI feels like you bought a impreza with a lot of go fast catalog parts put on by the dealer. The stinger feels like fairly luxurious sports sedan. I’ve spent a fair amount of time in both, aside

Maybe, but unlike the Camry TRD, a GT Stinger was generally praised by journalists, including those who drove it for a while.

The 2022 Stinger should arrive on lots later this year.

I’ve used these a half dozen times on my projects. They are great when space to work is at a premium, but a lineman’s splice with solder followed up with glued heat shrink is primo

This is what I call the classic “Asheville Situation” in terms of need. You’re sorta outdoorsy, working on a budget, and want something comfortable for the days you need to road trip to Charlotte.

my 2 cents are to avoid Subaru as I’ve found their bushings and links don’t love rough roads for long periods of time. At least the older models don’t. Avoid the CR-V because it has the worst AWD system in its class.

Thanks! It worked out pretty swell for putting in new floors and rails. *incoming self promotion*

That’s clever as hell.

Love it! I did something similar, but smaller in my garage when I started restoration of my Datsun Z.

Excellent use of space. I dig the tire rack. Go to Lowes and drop $20 on a 4'x4' white panelboard to use as a dry erase board for above your toolbox. You can keep notes on it, or just draw some trig equations on there so people think you’re some sort of professor of automobiles.

When I bought my 986 I specifically looked for a car that either had the clutch and IMS done already, or was cheap enough that I could make the update without breaking the bank. I lucked out with my car having gone the route of already having been imbued with an LN Engineering update. For me it’s just part of the

The trade-in is a separate transaction. They don’t need to see your trade-in to negotiate on the price of a car.

...and once she has absorbed all of the available heat and has completed her transformation to a radiating bundle of plasma, has the nerve to declare: “its too hot, make some space.”
