I bought a Stiner in January. I’ve been on three different KIA lots and all of them had a DMA(Dealer Market Adjustment) of... $5k on pretty much every car. I’ve never understood this outside of it being a trick to negotiate down to their MSRP with people who don’t understand the pricing.

I had a 2003 Audi A6 with the 2.7T. It was a solid car until 96k miles. Then I started having an intermittent start issue. After the car would sit for 1 hour it would start like nothing was ever wrong.

I don’t think they need to or care. Chrysler sold a lot of these... for 10 years. They’re terrible, but they sold.

Well, full disclosure, I bought mine over the phone from photos. I paid $1800, sold it for 8500. I love the challenge of the puzzle that is a car that has been sitting for years. Mine sat for 22 years.

I rebuilt a 1970 1600 in 2016, this one doesn’t have rust in the common places. Most all of them that have not been restored have surface rust where the battery goes. The biggest issue this car has is the center console and the wood door cards.

I’ll mention this for anyone looking. This is a smog car. The smog equipment looks to have been pulled and plugged up. The distributor will need to be changed to a non-smog one in order for the car to run correctly.

For a 2000 with no rust holes, a working top, good seat covers and good dash. Nice Price.

Back in the 90's I was hired by a drag strip to do an annual highlight video of all their race events. At this time all video cameras still used video tape. I had a Sony BetaCamSP camera, so professional level expensive equipment. I mention the level of camera for this reason.

Haha! I used to love their stuff. Now...

For once I agree with Tracy!

Small dog new wins.

Sales numbers matter.

The point is though, development costs now for a manual are MUCH more expensive than they were 25 years ago. Especially when it’s a completely new car with new architecture and you have to have a brand new transmission to fit the car.

I remember getting up one morning for work. Opened my bedroom door and shuffled across the hall on the nice soft fluffy carpet.

Fun article Kristen. I learned a few new things today about who does what and why.

MOAR IDx!

OK, fair point. I was only considering the Z4 since they’re “the same car”.

I’ll definitely take the Supra instead.

I don’t know that I’ve ever wanted anyone to get a traffic ticket more than this person.

I have a neighbor who has one and I’ve been lucky enought to drive it four laps on a track. It was amazing there. Jesus, the sound was the best part. But on the street, it’s just not as much fun. The torque is absent until in 5k RPM. My Kia Stinger is a better DD.
