We think my dog is very protective of the birds. She chases the squirrels away from the bird feeder so the birds can go back to eating. Then she sits on the porch and hangs out with the birds. I love animals.

I saw a list of cats that were under the protection of Bast (I guess there is some museum where you can send your cat’s name and they place it under Bast’s paw) and I saw the name Figaro “Figgy Stardust” and it made me think of your cat.

I sometimes try to pick up my cats and show them when the squirrel is right by the window and show them- they could not care less. I guess they only find things interesting at 3 am when I'm sleeping.

That’s what I was thinking! I couldn’t stop myself from immediately imagining a bunch of content little baby bunnies suddenly abandoned in a suburban park, starving to death or being eaten.
