It’s America’s own regulations that cause your cars to have crappy headlights though. Many manufacturers offer far better lighting in just about every other market, and the reason they can’t offer the same stuff in the USA is because of antiquated rules.

The numbers you said just tell me that this isn’t going to be solved by electric cars. If surface transport is 21% of global emissions and air travel is a mere 2.8%, then even cutting flights entirely and phasing out all gasoline and diesel vehicles isn’t going to get us to that 25 to 30% goal.
