At the as-tested price I’d spring the extra $9k and get the Type-R (can it be had at sticker yet?)

You eliminate bumper compatibility, but in your favor (occupants of cars underriding the bumper in a collision often come off worse).

It’s a shame, but hey they got to differentiate the RS3 from the rest of the line. As it is the R is already taking away sales from the S3.

Hey Torch, good on you for posting the corrections, but now the original headline is pretty much useless, as it is essentially GM’s smallest engine placed in a very light (sub-3000lb) car.

It doesn’t weigh 4000lbs. That was GVM, or the maximum fully loaded weight the vehicle is rated for. It probably weighs 1000lbs less in normal use.

I’ve lost an uncle and a cousin to it. They just went there and never came back.

Fracking is also gonna die at current international oil prices. There’s just no way to beat oil that literally gushes out of the ground on its own when it comes to extraction costs.

Or Verita (also based on the March), in case more top room is necessary for the rear-mid engine layout.

Sadly if enough people still showed up they’d just mark you as AWOL or something and dock your pay. Sitting in at the end of the production line at least doubles as a strike and guarantees any other workers who called in wouldn’t be productive either.

The highways are so clear though that it’s probably still safer overall.

Why not let him play too?

I work remotely and tend to have a hard time sleeping and so end up doing work in the middle of the night. Scheduled sends are a great way to get my night output to the office in roughly the same amount of time I worked on them, but shifted to appear as if I started at 9am.

lol you’re an automotive journalist. When you’re wrenching on one of your Jeeps you’re actively creating content that could be used for Jalopnik, or at worst researching, and thus by definition are working.

Safety third (rail).

They’re good wheels, Brent.

A lot of those big custom overland rigs are built this way. Done correctly and with reinforcing plates those joints can easily be stronger than the rest of the frame.

It’s brilliant!

To be fair, it is David Tracy we’re talking about here. I was half expecting the place to be full of rusted out 4x4s.

At least that Lotus looked like it was in good shape.
