You earned that star.

I think it’s genuinely a shame that romcoms, especially earnest romcoms (cuz we’re all irony all the time now), have taken such a cultural beating in the last couple of decades. I’m sad that AV Club no longer features Caroline Siede’s excellent When Romance Met Comedy articles.

I’ve never seen one.

Based on the trailer, I’d say that we used to call them “date movies”, back when people went to movies and would go on dates.

It’s all about the Bene Ge$$erits.

All due respect, though.

And the character should be Dun€an Idaho.

Really enjoyed it. I was surprised that it wasn’t a full adaptation, but the twist worked and developed a satisfactory story. I read those books when I was a teen, and I still have the poster I scored from the cinema because I loved the film.

I watched the first episode and came to the ending and was pretty shocked, then checked out the synopsises of the rest of the episodes and realized just what a great twist it was. Because...yes, we’ve seen this story before — in fact, if you’ve read the comic and seen the movie, you’ve already got two versions, so why

I think one of the biggest issues with any Netflix show is the model they created does not really work that well for programs designed to go on for a while.  Binging hurts TV, even  though everyone seems to love it.  But you watch a show you love in a week....and then even if season two comes on a year later it feels

A Crows spinoff series could be interesting.

A little too much Burns & Allen on the mind, I can only assume.

Those Riverdale boys are always having to fend off predatory female teachers

Eff Netflix for doing this to Shadow and Bone. It was a great series and I would have liked to have seen them get through all the books. Now it’s just a Divergent situation.

So... who is Georgie?

Reading the rest of the article, one figures out Gracie is Julianne Moore. Georgie is a typo.

I remain more and more thankful that Bojack Horseman got 6 seasons and a proper finale.

Shadow and Bone came to a fairly satisfying end; that’s nice, at least.

Hayley Atwell, Kat Dennings, and an episode produced in collaboration with the Mohawk Nation? My interest is piqued.
