Like you said William, that generally exceeded expectations. I definitely had a few issues with the characterization, but I’m not gonna quibble too much when it gave us so many bizarre and delightful wasteland cameos, as well as some genuinely funny bits.

Moldaver’s felt underserved by the season as a whole, and we really never got enough time with her to gauge her full motivations. It was probably my biggest issue with the writing in this, largely good, season. She plays a really large role in the narrative, but barely gets any screen time!

But he can afford to pay some people to find it for him.

In this case the show will actually be wearing Hemsworth as a hat

Good point. Maybe Supes would finally get to fight that giant spider!

The George Lucas worship is strong with this one. His cells have the highest concentration of mid filmmaking I have seen in a life form. It’s possible he was conceived by mid filmmaking.

But like 90% more insufferable

The results would be amusing, if unwatchable.

Dang, that was a hell of an episode. Of course the big scenes all landed, but I’ll say that the flight choreography in Mariko’s big showdown at the gate was the best yet on the show. At some point people remembranced that that was a poor translation

The one that sticks in my head for some reason is “At last, a copy of Ethan Frome to call my own.

No, how terrible, I’m so sad they’re not focusing on (checks notes) (:squints:) (::tries to figure out who the hell this is::) Benedick this season.

The show has been great and looks great, and I think these guys have done excellent work. But the big wins for the show for me have been in how it evokes the time period, in the acting, sets, and costuming. Give me courtly period dramas all day, please!

Eh, she’s probably more sanguine. They’re foreigners, after all, and it could lead to opportunities for exotic cosplay.

If he was even more of a magical white guy in the book, then I’m really glad they nerfed him. I have a very limited tolerance for that, and he only gets around it by being sometimes genuinely goofy, though sincere.

They just never lean in on the blackened teeth, do they
