“No!”
What’s does the Chinese legal system offer as “severe punishment” for this sort of vandalism and/or theft? Honest question.
Ah! Thanks for pointing that out. Must have been autocorrect or a brain lapse of some sort! As far as I know anyway... ;)
You are overthinking it, haha. But in a nutshell, yes, they understand what Stewie’s saying, but only pay attention to it in in varying amounts since he’s just a baby.
I love how we all get into the guitar right as our teens are winding down and popular music becomes ever more important, haha. I started playing at 18? Minimal tries right before that as well, but I’m fairly decent today and have kept up with it.
I think apps and computer programs can be great for that. Even as an adult, I like trying out the ones that automatically create sounds or music that you arrange easily somehow. If there’s a kid-friendly one out there, it certainly wouldn’t hurt if you’re trying to gear them towards that sort of thing!
I didn’t play guitar yet in high school, but I knew enough about pop music that I was even teaching my band members a thing or two about music structure. I’d scream something like, “Why doesn’t Jack come in before the middle 8 after the second chorus?,” and they’d then look at me like I was talking Swahili or…
A few words of advice... electronic drum set (perhaps second hand via eBay to save money) and headphones.

I grew up in a small town where you could be a two or three-sport athlete each year if you wanted to be. One of the things a high school teacher told us was he always advised his own kids to finish the season you started, even if you struggled with it or weren’t playing enough, etc. The reason he gave was that it…
It’s funny how you come back to some of these things later in life when you least expect it!
Dude, everyone knows you have to be a rapper or hip-hop act to get in...
Yeah, the stuff since Playing the Angel has been mostly miss, imo. Although “Cover Me” off their most recent release is a gorgeous tune (and, oddly enough, I think their touring keyboardist and drummer wrote the music to that one).
... and no mention of the American Dad use of the song either?!
I got the album for Christmas from Santa Claus in 1994. I still come back to the songs on it from time to time, although not so much the title track (even though it’s one of the first songs I really got into, haha). Young and Proud was my jam back in the day though.
That’s the 90's for you, brother.
The Bridge’s second half was a bit lackluster, but the first half definitely has some good songs. I still come back to Never Gonna Say I’m Sorry a bit in my adult years (even though it uses the common Bm-G-D-A progression to ad nauseum). Edge of Heaven is pretty too.
Jenny “867-5309" Berggren?
I bought that Radio 1 Established 1967 CD a few years ago, with all the top UK hit covers by contemporary artists, and didn’t mind the cover of All That She Wants by The Kooks. Still listen to it somewhat often, haha.
Yeah, the boy bands came right around the end of that decade... and oddly enough, the easy listening stuff from that era seems to stick around the most for me when I just think of “90s music” to myself. As I Lay Me Down by Sophie B. Hawkins might be the song that will always do that for me... and maybe I Love You…
