That’s the 90's for you, brother.

The Bridge’s second half was a bit lackluster, but the first half definitely has some good songs. I still come back to Never Gonna Say I’m Sorry a bit in my adult years (even though it uses the common Bm-G-D-A progression to ad nauseum). Edge of Heaven is pretty too.

Jenny “867-5309" Berggren?

I bought that Radio 1 Established 1967 CD a few years ago, with all the top UK hit covers by contemporary artists, and didn’t mind the cover of All That She Wants by The Kooks. Still listen to it somewhat often, haha.

Yeah, the boy bands came right around the end of that decade... and oddly enough, the easy listening stuff from that era seems to stick around the most for me when I just think of “90s music” to myself. As I Lay Me Down by Sophie B. Hawkins might be the song that will always do that for me... and maybe I Love You

Maybe Come Undone gets a bit lost in the historic narrative... but I still find plenty of people that love Ordinary World myself. That’s usually the first song that comes up when I tell them I’m a Duran fan.

From my own experiences: I was in band and choir for most of my youth, so I kind of wandered between instruments in school for most of my childhood. I had piano lessons for a few years starting when I was 8 after my parents purchased one. I didn’t mind them, but it was a struggle to practice at times since I wasn’t

“Metallica’s ‘I Disappear’ came out 18 YEARS AGO.” - Text from my best friend this morning.

No kidding. Her string of 90's hits is middle school all over for me every time I hear them!

I guess I’m lucky in that I’ll still aim for the GA tickets, which are fairly cheap all things considered these days, and live in an area that gets a fair amount of shows. So I can usually go to a show and be home by midnight, with maybe $20 max for parking or Uber if I play my cards right.

I still download, mainly because songs can still be taken down on occasion in the streaming world, and it’s nice to have a copy in case the Internet isn’t available or buffering somehow. I typically leave CD purchases to the favorite artists now, unless I’m looking through the second-hand stores and they’re pretty

Interview with D’arcy is up on Alternative Nation.

I think Zwan could have had some life in it as the extension of Corgan’s musings these past two decades, with members and styles coming and going. Then if he wanted to try the Iha and Chamberlin reunion right about now, it could have had a bit more weight to it.

This is maybe the first time I’ve ever thought of that pun for more than second on end.

1979's the only track I ever recall getting Top 40 radio airplay where I lived. A pretty rural area though, so if you wanted to hear them, the proper rock stations probably had that covered (and MTV).

Remember back when “Top 40" was an actual amalgamation of various genres and not just “Rhythmic Top 40" in general? Yeah, those were the days.

I dig all around these days and have no problems finding new and old stuff to find... Pandora, Spotify’s Discover Weekly, AAA terrestrial stations, etc. If you dig enough, there’s almost always something “new” to you to find.

I’m in a similar boat myself. Although I don’t really have time to devour new albums at a whim or whenever I want, I’m always looking for new songs (older and more recent) to hear and add onto my iTunes library. I wouldn’t say the quality has measurably gone up or down at all, but it is safe to say that the ones

Ha! Alas, unless I had retroactive amnesia and a gender-related operation, it’s doubtful! Cute story though, for sure.
