It's a decent catchy tune. Nice choice here.

My best friend remembers it too, but just remembers it as the "I've been downhearted baby" song in the old man voice…

Walking on the Sun, All Star, Can't Get Enough of You Baby, Why Can't We Be Friends, Then the Morning Comes, I'm a Believer, Pacific Coast Party… and I remember a later day single after all of those too.

Heck, I even remember a few of their 00's singles on the radio too (Pacific Coast Party and So Insane).

Yeah, Good Thing was definitely played a bit back in the day too. Suspicious Minds, I discovered on VH1 Classic in the early 00's.

Hip hop, perhaps. But Duran's a tad underrated even today… they explored a LOT more territory besides Rio and Hungry Like the Wolf over the years.

In the U.S., perhaps. I know The Sun Always Shines on TV off the top of my head too (and which is probably a superior song).

"Johnny played guitar, Jenny played bass. Name of the band is The Human Race."

I'd think Mother of Pearl would be more well known here (or something off Avalon) than Love is the Drug. Not sure on the chart positions though.

Yeah, those would be the other two I'd throw out there.

Great tune.

He had a decent single a few years later called Everywhere I Go, which is by far a superior song.

I saw his CD at Goodwill the other day. Had to take a picture of it and send it to my best friend, who remembers that song well.

A few people might remember the second single, Someday We'll Know, but this is probably one case where you can't deny the "one hit" aspect here… I mean, the guy ended his band right as they got popular.

The Difference, Sixth Avenue Heartache, Three Marlenas… that album alone had a few decent radio sized hits on them.

They did have that self-titled song "Talk Talk" too… which still strikes me as nothing but really, really strange.

She was one of the sisters of the Jackson 5, right? Not Janet or LaToya or the one who's the oldest.

I'd say that Cold Hard Bitch and Look What You've Done would take away from Jet being considered a one hit wonder, imho.

I heard Pop Goes the World a bit on 80's retro radio shows during the 1990's, so that was probably a decent-sized hit back in the day.

Well, Star Trek did have Beastie Boys, so…
