Well done Doug. I saw this auction on BAT and couldn’t believe the negativity surrounding your column on Jalopnik. There is nothing that turns me off a car more then owners like that, I think you generally let them off easy. Onwards to your next adventure!
Let’s make that AMX 390 for the ‘numeric’ enforcers of this thread :D
Or FR-L (Large)
Perhaps equating it to drink sizes would help the average American consumer. Maybe clothing sizes... except Toyota would have to go to a very American FR-XXL
Shouldn’t have sold it, I can’t think of a car that holds it’s value better! ...Except for any air-cooled Porsche 911
Agreed but I think Fiat, Alfa, and Jaguar have learned from their past mistakes and are moving back towards what made them successful before. Maybe not across the entire product line but they at least have some offerings that evoke the glory days.
I’m in the same boat. I’m loyal to a brand so long as they are loyal to me, and Subaru has given up on me. With no manual transmission turbo wagons offered I won’t be buying another one. And now the question becomes which is a greater sin, foregoing the wagon, or the manual transmission?
I’m still confused as to why GM can blame “Old GM” to get out of responsibility while Fiat that bought Chrysler after bankruptcy is being blamed for cars build before it tenure... Mostly the Jeep Grand Cherokee fires.
Any of the acronym names I’d suspect, in no particular order:
But not a hatch, ask me how I know.
J/k we all know... Obligatory Bring back the WRX wagon/hatch!
Because Space Lotus

Un-gray the working stiffs!
