Aw...sounds like you need to call the waaambulance. Do you need the number?

Actually, I don't buy into anything. I honestly couldn't give any shits about any of this. I simply figured I'd add a comment to get peoples' dander up. And, it worked.
Aren't most of those poor black slaves you cry for getting free educations?
My '93 LX 5.0 (small world, eh?) was around $16K new. Fully loaded.
Uh...the sedan has been lighter than the coupe for years and years. But, you're entitled to your opinion about the looks. You know what they say about opinions...
Ehh...there are only so many hipsters in the world, my friend. And most of those are too busy waiting tables in Los Feliz, to be able to drive a car around town.
Indeed. At least back then, that paradigm made some sense for both Ford & GM. But no one could have predicted the absolute dominance the Germans would ultimately hold, here in the U.S., with the luxury market. The American makers simply never made the effort before it was too late. Cadillac is a perfect example of how…
The G35 sedan and coupe were largely the same, mechanically. I think the only difference then, and even now, were in suspension and brakes. But the engine output was the same. Unless I'm forgetting something from those early models.
These early ones are, indeed, neat. But I wouldn't go so far as to call them more sporty than the G35. I think that skewed more the other way. But honestly, I think that for this challenge, it would really be hard to beat either an older one of these, or an older G35.
Nice one. I had a couple friends who had various model years of this car. It was, indeed, a damn cool option to the 540i - at the time. But, as you said, it had certain mechanical issues. In fact, it sounds like you made it out better than my pals, because they both had myriad more issues crop up in their cars. But,…
SO MUCH NINJA!!!
Oh, indeed. That's what's even more impressive. The Coyote 5.0 plant is substantially more powerful, all while being less polluting, and returning better mileage. Granted, the mileage is also due to the superior six-speed manual and even more efficient automatic transmissions in the modern cars. But, still, cool.
Hell, my 1993 5.0 made only a hair over 215 in stock form. Fast forward to this second, and the current gen 5.0 is making well over 400-fucking-horsepower? That's more nuts than a can of Planters.
Fantastic article. Thanks. I watched a really great Blue Angels docu a few months back. Damned (!!!) if I can remember where. Maybe PBS on the Apple TV? Regardless, it was great. One thing which stood out, was that despite the fact that these are the elite of all the elite fliers in the world, they get the total…
Only two-pounds more, and only fifty-HP less.
"If everyone stays healthy..."
Nope. But he did break his coccyx.
I came here for this, and you beat me to it. The lack of a manual in that car, is the one thing keeping me from actually considering it. It's the perfect maturation of a STi. Small, light, AWD, stout turbo-four. What's the one thing missing...?
These things are so cool. Saw a formation fly in and go from horizontal flight to vertical, then back again, at a great Naval Aviation Centennial show in San Diego years back. The sounds they make are sublime.
Don't know about you, but I'd get even more hot trying to run a marathon with a hood on my head.
