I assumed he meant water, but he’s from Kentucky so he probably meant Bourbon.

Someone mentioned that in yesterday’s article. I was waiting for someone to go super internet sleuth and discover that is was rear-ended a decade ago or something. I didn’t see anything like that come up though.

Tesla could charge $100k for a base Model S if people would pay it. There is no inflation, it’s based on what people are willing to pay. If less people will buy a Tesla because the tax credit is now half, then it makes sense for Tesla to lower the price to keep customers coming in. They will make less money per car,

It depends on who you buy from. There are some dealers in Oregon and Florida that will knock the tax credit off the price of the vehicle for you so you don’t have to worry about claiming it later.

I was thinking the same thing. My mortgage interest rate is 3.75%. I could pay it off quickly or I could invest the extra money and get better than 3.75% for it. Paying off your house in 15 years isn’t the best choice when interest rates are/were low.

I’m in Washington and I saw gas around $2.65 recently. That wasn’t even at Cotsco so I would think it was probably $2.55 there. That’s pretty well below $3/gallon in my book.

This past summer my wife got a 75% discount on Frontier tickets for her and our kids. All 3 of them flew from the west coast to Cleveland for $150 total. It was one way, but I don’t think we could ever beat that price.

What’s your plan for early 2020 when the subway is still down and the weather is terrible?

The part about them sharing a Filet o’Fish and Pepsi is so upsetting. What kind of monster would claim that a McDonald’s sells Pepsi?!?

I bought a used vehicle from my local Toyota dealership at the end of August. I think they had it listed for $11,000. I managed to get them down to around $10,500. Not great, but I was ok with it.

You’re a Ford fan aren’t you?

Coming soon: Tesla Model F (Firetruck edition).

Someone else in the comments mentioned that it’s at a dealer. It’s not listed by the owner. So not too surprising that it has the carpets vacuumed like that.

I think it would be great too. It would probably take a full 2 generations to make it stick though. People are set in there ways and don’t understand SI units because they are never exposed to them.

It’s a measure of work, why is it dumb? It’s still a car. You can put it on a dyno to get HP/torque numbers to compare it to an ICE powered car.

I have bought Mobil1 from Amazon before. They had a 5 quart jug of full synthetic for like $20 or $22. That was cheaper than Walmart at the time so I bought it and it showed up 2 days later and I did the oil change. 2 days isn’t a long time to wait. I don’t see how it’s different than going to a store to buy it.

Is SuperTech bad? I am always tempted by it when I buy oil from Walmart. It’s usually 4 bucks cheaper for 5 quarts than the next full synthetic. I mean it’s oil right, how bad could it be?

I think they mean bill of sale only. As in “There is no title, but here’s a bill of sale, go figure it out yourself.” That’s not usually an easy task.

I watched some food documentary a while ago. I have no idea what it was called. But they spent some time talking about how Michelle Obama’s original plan to make school lunch healthier was great and then a bunch of special interest groups got in the way. They basically shifted her focus from healthy foods to a focus

Are we still giving handouts to farmers because of this? If so, I wouldn’t call this winning.
