I have definitely seen a Tesla driver using autopilot on a winding back road with minimally marked lanes. She was behind me doing her makeup/not looking at the road at all for about 1 miles before I turned. These people are out there.

The amount of redneck/dip accents in that video reminds me of home.

Yeah I know. I was anticipating a lot of mall crawler comments. Can see I wasn’t wrong.

INB4: “ThE MaLl PaRkInG LoT IsN’t TeChNiCaL”

Patrick mentioned in the article that the FWD Prius will still use a Li-Ion battery. They chose NiMH for the AWD Prius because they expect it to sell better in cold weather climates where Li-Ion batteries don’t perform as well.

Because we want to know what we will be buying used in 5 to 10 years for 20% of the original MSRP.

Are you saying you resemble and Italian from Long Island?

Welcome out of the grays! Here you go:

Yeah I completely agree. I’m sure GM will have to pay them something, but it will end up being less than the cost of keeping the plant open those last 9 months. Even if they paid everyone the wages they would have made, it’s probably still cheaper than keeping a plant up and running for 9 months making cars that not

Most of the layoffs and plant closures are happening in the U.S. It’s not like his comment was off-topic.

Yeah, but anyone at the plant getting laid off right now will get a severance package. Everyone else has 13 months to find a job. It won’t be easy for a lot of them, but it’s a head start that most people don’t get.

Fighting to keep the plant open another 9 months seems like a waste of time. Yeah it violates the contract, but GM will find a way out of it with minimal fines I’m sure. Anyone that doesn’t get laid off this year now knows they need to find another job by the end of next year. It does suck though.

And look at Ford now. Destroying themselves trying to raise their stock price to appease shareholders.

Would she have been going 70mph if the police weren’t chasing her? The article indicates that the police initiated the pursuit and she ran. They didn’t know she had drugs until they caught her eating them in jail. She cashed a bad check so they tried to stop her. Going 90mph through a school zone over a bad check is

Better than risking running over one of those kids with your car at 90mph.

Knew I wouldn’t be the only one that noticed that. There is no way police are trained to drive with one hand on the wheel in a high speed chase. That is just dumb. Why wouldn’t he keep both on the wheel and take one off if he needed to use his radio or siren and then put it back?

I used it a few years ago to rent an SUV for 2 days so I could drive to a city 4 hours away and pick up a rug for my wife that wouldn’t have fit in our car. I know it sounds crazy, but I think we paid around $75 for two days of use and a bunch of miles. Way cheaper than a rental SUV.

Yeah I could see that. I don’t drive past any gas stations I would actually use on my way to or from work (mostly because they are overpriced). If the company was paying I guess I wouldn’t care.

Yeah I know. People used to play with mercury too. But he had already taken an extended vacation from over-exposure to lead and he still decided to pour it on his hands and breath it in. I stand by my moron comment.

That’s a really good point. I would expect the company to provide me a place to charge it during the day. I’m not paying to charge a company car if the workers with gas-only cars don’t have to.
