I watched this episode the other day. That guy is hilarious.

Starred for that last line. Hilarious visualization.

Did Forrest Gump diversify and open an auto manufacturing plant?

Agreed. If you want it to sound different then you need to spell it differently so people know. What a stupid car and stupid name.

But gas stations sell more than gas. If you’re on a road trip a gas station right off the interstate is a convenient place to stop for a break and get some food/water or take a bathroom break. There’s no reason they couldn’t still exist as EV charging stations, although I’m sure there would be a lot less of them.

I knew a guy that thought his crotch rocket would let him get away from the cops pursuing him for speeding. The key word here is “knew”.

My understanding is that dish soap is fine for a one-time cleaning where the car is really nasty. Just don’t use it regularly or it will ruin the paint. Like you said, just rebuild the protective layers after you rinse off the soap.

Haha well we were already past the dating stage when she told me about it. Both her parents have issues, but she turned out pretty great. She’s the most selfless person I know.

I did 90 miles one way splitting time in an old Ranger and a Yaris on an interstate that was constantly under construction. I’m talking 1.5-2 hours each direction because of construction. It was the worst 3 months of my life. Having a $100k+ car probably would have made it better lol.

You make a good point that bad information can cause more problems than it solves. But does that mean that the CFPB shouldn’t do anything? They aren’t the only ones who suspected discrimination in lending as pointed out in the article. Should they have looked at the problem and said, “We don’t have enough tools for

Have you been to Vancouver? It’s right across the border, but the mentality about walking/biking is completely different than the US. I rented a bike up there one weekend and rode all over the place. They have bike lanes everywhere and cars actually pay attention to them. The bike lanes are also real bike lines. Not

Sounds like the CFPB was just doing what they could with the tools they had access to. Scrapping the regulation instead of helping the CFPB develop better tools to spot discrimination isn’t helpful. The regulation could always be scrapped later if they find no evidence of discrimination with the proper tools.

Providing solutions doesn’t win elections. Complaining about problems loudly and constantly does.

My wife just assumes any car project I start is going to take 4 times as long as I expect. She’s usually right.

Does AAA still put gas in your tank in situations like this? I think they used to put in a couple gallons so you could get to a gas station instead of just towing the car.

I live in the US and pay quite a bit for health insurance. It’s basically worthless. When I first moved to where I lived now and wanted to find a doctor for a routine check up, the waiting list at every place I checked was 4-6 months out. If you actually get sick or hurt you have to go to Urgent Care which insurance

Stop recommending your Outback to everyone haha

I turned 18 before my senior year even started. My birthday is late June and the cutoff was set as two weeks before that. Not much to do about it unless my parents wanted to put me in a year ahead of time.

My wife always says she wants a Wrangler. I finally convinced her it’s a third vehicle, not a primary vehicle. If she had to DD a Wrangler with 2 kids she would be miserable.

That’s a line that Cummins likes to spout to make their engines sound super clean. In reality they are talking about running the engine in Beijing during peak smog when you shouldn’t even be breathing the air. In 99.9% of places the air coming out of the exhaust will be dirtier than the air going into the intake.
