I’m not saying it’s not wrong, but I only do it for nuts, bolts, screws, and other small hardware when I’m already paying for several large parts.

I completely agree, but the majority of American car buyers are idiots and car companies sell a lot of vehicles to those idiots, so they produce vehicles that will sell, not necessarily vehicles that make sense.

I've seen multiple Chrysler 300s with Rolls Royce or Bentley emblems slapped on them.

Surely no one will notice this is actually a cargo van and not a BMW 3 series.

I hate when it's the opposite, like when you have a single screw that they want $15 for. I started just smuggling small parts out of junk yards in my pockets.

You wouldn't want any car from Detroit, every part on the cars are rusted or corroded beyond recognition, even aluminum parts.

Small engines are good on fuel in a small vehicle, but when you put a small engine in a crossover, or SUV, they still get terrible fuel economy because the engine is working so hard to overcome the weight and wind resistance.

I might actually care about politics for once if someone runs for office with that on their platform.

I hate those things too! Give me a damn hand brake.

Slingshot engaged.

I have a JK Wrangler with a soft top and the rear window is a pain to remove every time I need to put a large box in the back, especially if it's cold and my fingers are too numb to operate the zipper. The Wranglers with a hard top have a pop up hatch glass rear window, but I like being able to take my top off

It already is waterproof. I have a 2014 Wrangler and I removed the carpet when I bought it so I can pop the floor drain plugs and hose out the interior, which I've done several times. The cloth seats are designed to dry quickly.

Probably removed the airbag and seat belts.

That's how they sell the Elise in the US now. They dropped about 2,000 lbs. It's not nearly as fast though, because you have to travel on foot.

Yeah, but they can't sell them in the US anymore. They don't meet crash test safety standards and Lotus doesn't sell enough of them to justify developing a new one.

What I was trying to say is this is the kind of Beetle I like, pictured below, the classic, metal, rear engine Beetles. The new front engine Beetles made since 1998 have too much plastic. They are definitely unique, but very feminine styling and overall shape. The latest generation of new Beetle has a more sporty

Also, make sure to re-calibrate when you get bigger tires. This will make the fuel economy calculation on the EVIC more accurate.

I put in 2" Superlift spacers on top of the stock spring isolators, so it's about 2.5" of lift and I went with adjustable JKS track bars to re-center the axles. I have 315/75R16 (35x12.5") Duratracs. I desperately need to regear my axles though because I'm still running 3.21s and I can't use 6th gear at any speed.

Blind spots would be really bad too

It looks like it would be really hard to get anything heavy in or out of that bed.
