All I want to see is Moonlight showered with praise and awards while Nate Parker wonders how a movie about gay black men could be better received and more successful than his movie.

I mostly agree. I think it’s the ruching that will make it look dated. I love the copper color though, it just needs a different cut. As this comment thread shows though, she’s had so many great looks over the last 8 years in the White House. I’ll miss her when she’s gone.
I think her character could be considered unlikable in another actor’s hands. But Phoebe Waller-Bridge is so charismatic and likable, she makes Fleabag relatable and interesting instead of hatable.
It’s not only bodies Michael Weinstein wants to control. I can’t stand this guy. I live in Hollywood and he’s trying to ruin all of the great advancements in the past few years. I’m sure some call it gentrification, but really, the Hollywood/Vine neighborhood is absolutely flourishing right now. He’s using AHF money…
This is a company who still employs Brian Williams after he outright lied on a news broadcast so it’s not entirely surprising.
Just to be clear, the implication should be Bob Weinstein, not Harvey Weinstein since Bob’s the head of Dimension.
I’m glad someone else said it. I think she’s one of (if not the) weakest actress on OITNB. It really stands out on that show where there are a crazy number of talented actresses.
I’m kinda wondering if she’s right too. For whatever reason, this popped into my head of how Williams would be as Joplin:
Sadly not, I’m in Los Angeles. Thanks for the info though! I’ll be sure to look out for her when I’m in NYC!
I occasionally take Soul Cycle classes, good workout, fun music. But my god, I would kill for a Broadway themed class. How great would spinning to the Chicago soundtrack be?
I totally agree. The show ended up looking bad because they shouldn’t have caved to Affleck’s request. But in the case of the press junket, are we really gonna pretend that Affleck is the only star who has demands about how an interview is conducted? I think it’s a pretty common occurrence.
I was so happy to scroll down and see this was the most starred comment. I thought maybe I was oblivious to some well-known historical family. Clearly not.
I feel your pain. As an elementary school boy, I realized I would never ever have monogrammed anything. My initials? MRS
It was the mid-2000's where it all went off the rails. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland, and Dark Shadows. All mediocre with essentially the same aesthetic. In the middle of that run of mediocrity, he also ruined Sweeney Todd.
I agree, but personally I think HBC’s best performances and movies aren’t in Tim Burton movies.
And he makes the same weird white people movies over and over and over...
You really really mangled the information in the Vulture article. Many women have released diamond selling albums: Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Norah Jones, Alanis Morrisette, etc...
I haven’t either. It seems like Miranda has a level of respect that will get him a nomination.
I disagree. He’s almost guaranteed a Golden Globe nomination with a great chance of winning. But over the last decade or so, the catchy songs everyone knows that wins Golden Globes don’t get Oscar noms. I could see the Oscar music branch having no interest in nominating Timberlake.
I watched the same way you did, binge watched season 1, then watched weekly season 2. And I wondered the same thing, because I didn’t particularly enjoy season 2 either. But season 1 felt like it had a clearer story and end goal. Season 2 felt like it meandered. Of course, the twist of Elliot being in prison explains…
