Jane Marie - she's helming millihelen. Poke around the post history and you'll see her byline. You could probably send to tips@jezebel, although I bet her email is janemarie or jane.marie@jezebel.

This should get a million stars. Actually - you should email Jane about this, and they should maybe do a whole article on buying made-to-measure. It's sustainable (definitely moreso than buying something new every 3 wears then trashing it), better for the workers, and better for your personal style.

The deadly thing about "bless your heart" is that it isn't *always* an insult. It can be - and often is - a genuine benediction. I feel like I have to explain this on the internet pretty regularly, and I'm concerned that it's going to get super twisted and lose all meaning. (Sigh. As things often do.)

YOU'RE THE BEST!!!!

I realize it's been days, but since no one's responded to you - order one for yourself, then ask if she'd like the other one. As an extra pro-move, ask her out of earshot of other staff, so that if she's under pressure to accept she can give you an honest answer.

uhhh... do you feel like sharing? Cuz i'd read the shit out of that. All of it.

Oooh, that's a new one for me, thanks!

Also waiting for it to go on sale - it wasn't included in the president's day 30% off...

I know people *think* this isn't feasible... but there are a growing number of online retailers that do this halfway. You linked to make your own jeans - I know of 3 or 4 similar jeans sites. (I didn't know make your own jeans does suits.)

Hey. I know this problem!

For what it's worth, I saw what you did there. The solution is to enlarge the sample size by electing more women to office.

You're talking Seinfeld, we're talking Alanis. <3

There is nothing wrong with appreciating the beauty of Native designs; they are beautiful. If you would like to wear pieces created by Native artists, you absolutely should - look for artists who state that they are in compliance with the Indian Arts & Crafts Act of 1990, which is a truth-in-advertising law

As StuntRocker pointed out - Dolly could wear that pantsuit (with a bit of tailoring, and possibly some sequins added.) But since they're close, that's not unexpected. This is my hope for Miley, and when Dolly said she thought she'd be OK, I knew the hand-wringing was misplaced. She'll be fine.

The conductor?

It's because they work high-stakes retail.

It's very "hey remember that time we took everything dear to you by force?"

Sorry, Julianne - I missed that reading. I even did a search for "hat," "war," and "Kepi" because I was SURE you'd've noticed it, and that I must've missed it in your article. (Turns out I did. Should've searched for "cap" or "military" to double-check myself.)

It's so much worse than 1840s, though, dude. They're

So no one's going to mention how the models are wearing distinctly American-style Kepi hats? They were part of the US military uniform from about the civil war (on both sides) through the INDIAN WARS.
