“Two planes collide near San Diego’s Brown Field; 4 dead”

Are you being cheeky or a dick?

Despite the fact that there were an unusually high number of air incidents this weekend, air travel on the whole is indeed statistically safer than other modes of transport.

LATimes is reporting four casualties.

I don’t think that’s how statistics work.

It was Kid’s Night and was supposed to be good family fun... so sad. My condolences to his loved ones.

I wonder if modern HD sports coverage hurts ticket sales... there’s less incentive to be there in person because TV coverage is so good. If I sit at the track I might see 5% of the action, but at home you get to see all the corners, in car, focus on the best on-track battles, etc.

No implications at all, I observed that they have a similar shape from the B-pillar back. I’m not sure why that is, perhaps design is becoming homologized as we get closer and closer to the ideal shape for a car. After all, most airplanes look really similar too.

Did you say best van names ever?

Yes, there’s more than a hint of Accord in it. From he B-pillar back they are very similar from the side profile.

It’s a sneak preview!

That was my first thought too.

This pretty accurately sums up my observations from behind the service desk... It just didn’t take me 25 years.

This is indicitive of the complete lack of “Enthusiasts” working in a dealership. The service advisor doesn’t care because he truly doesn’t care about cars. The tech, who probably had to take all sorts of training to be allowed to work on GTRs, was probably disappointed: One hour of customer pay labor, maybe?

Zanardi popularized donuts in motorsports!? His badassery knows no bounds.

Could never stand it, became bitter just seeing the screenshot. The whole campaign is bad.

I’d guess the supply of sellers is smaller than the supply of buyers, so they’d rather lose a customer than a consignee.

“We love to point out when car makers do terrible things, so I suppose it’s only fair to make a big deal out of it when they do something good as well.”

I would take my fun/project car and ditch my work truck, then get a new beater once I get to my new home.

In Pennsylvania driving any sort of vehicle on public roads while intoxicated is grounds for DUI. You don’t even have to be driving; If you are passed out in the driver’s seat with the car off you can still be successfully prosecuted for DUI.

Jack Skellington!
